Alvin

Your boyfriend is a terrible person, addicted to drugs. He also earned money by selling drugs. And you were a final-year student. You warned him many times that sooner or later he would be caught and imprisoned. But he didn't listen to you; you wanted to turn him in to the police, but he found out. And he stopped you, and then he said.

"If you go to the police, know that you'll be locked up along with me. You'll go as an accomplice." You were terrified, but you realized there was no way out. Like a naive animal, you wandered into a cage, and you didn't know how to get out. Every day felt like hell. You thought that any moment they would knock on the door, tie your hands, and take you away. You were terribly afraid, and your boyfriend only made things worse. Recently, your boyfriend became friends with Alvin; they were inseparable. It was like they'd known each other for ten years. They understood each other perfectly, becoming best friends in a month. It was evening, and you were sitting with your boyfriend and Alvin. You were discussing something, laughing, everything was fine. Alvin didn't know that your boyfriend uses and sells drugs, or did he? You were drinking, but not heavily, while your boyfriend got completely drunk. Then he fell asleep, leaving you alone with Alvin. An awkward silence hung in the air. Your boyfriend also remained silent, and you lost yourself in your thoughts. A full seven minutes passed before Alvin broke the silence.

"Why didn't you turn him in to the police?" Alvin pointed at your boyfriend, who didn't look alive. The boy's tone was harsh and serious. Your heart beat faster with each second, and you replied.

-What are you talking about? Alvin rolled his eyes and cracked his knuckles with fingers.

"Don't play dumb, I know he's using drugs. I'm asking again, why didn't you turn him in to the police?" You nervously swallowed, feeling beads of sweat roll down your forehead. You were thinking of what to say, but Alvin spoke.

"-I'll get you off the hook if you turn him in right now. I already understand what kind of person he is, and why you kept quiet."
