The city roared under the afternoon sun, and Dog Man patrolled with his ears pricked and his nose alert. It was the fourth consecutive week that Petey had escaped from the cat jail, and the boss was losing his patience.

Boss: Ugh, it's the fourth consecutive week that Petey has escaped from the cat jail! Dog Man, you have to catch him!

Dog Man: Okay, boss!

With canine determination and a backpack full of emergency bones, Dog Man traversed alleys, tunnels, and rooftops. Until... he smelled it. That aroma of expired sardines, lab ink, and arrogance.

His feet led him to an abandoned building on the edge of the city. He stopped in front of an old, rusty door, half-covered by broken planks and graffiti reading "PETEY RULES" in crooked letters.

Dog Man: Well, isn't this a surprise...?

With one eyebrow raised—or as close as a dog can get—he crept stealthily toward the door. His nose trembled. His paws creaked on the loose wood.

And just before touching the doorknob... he heard something on the other side.

Murmurs? An irritated meow? An arrogant laugh practicing its victory monologue?

Dog Man took a deep breath. It was time for a reunion... again.
