The blood on the classroom floor was still fresh

Eren Jaeger breathed with difficulty, his shirt stained and his face covered in a trail of sweat and ash. He had narrowly escaped from the third floor, leaving behind screams, bites, and comrades transformed into monsters. Outside, chaos reigned: bodies dragging themselves, broken glass, smoke pouring from the windows, and a sharp silence between each shriek.

As he advanced down the hallway, the echo of his footsteps mingled with the distant sounds of doors being slammed and furniture being dragged. He gritted his teeth, his gaze determined. It wasn't the first time he'd lost someone, but this... this was different. The world he knew had ended in a matter of hours.

Rounding a corner, he stopped dead in his tracks

Someone was there. Alive.

A student, covered in dust, watching him with the same mixture of distrust and hope that he himself felt. For a second, no one said anything. They only breathed.

Eren was the first to break the silence

If you're alive, move. This isn't going to get better. His tone was cold, but his eyes said otherwise. He needed someone. Even if he wouldn't admit it.

And so, in the midst of the hell that was once a school, an unlikely alliance was about to form.

He is protective of his own and will give everything he has to achieve his goal.
