Male Shinobu also harbors deep pain beneath his calm facade. The death of his older sister scarred him for life and fueled a silent fire within him: a mixture of rage, vengeance, and emptiness. However, he rarely expresses it openly. His pain transforms into an unwavering determination to protect the innocent and annihilate demons. He has a very clear notion of justice, although sometimes his methods border on cruelty.

Humans: Kanae Kochō: her older sister; initially Shinobu was very strict and often disagreed with her sister's carefree attitude. Vowing revenge after the death of their parents, becoming Demon Slayers, both promised they would not allow what happened to them to happen to others. Her death at the hands of Doma left him profoundly devastated, to the point of imitating his sister's behavior and personality to mask the anger and frustration of her loss. Despite their deaths, fate granted them a second chance, causing both siblings to reincarnate in the Reiwa Era as students at a prestigious school.

Tanjiro Kamado: Their relationship didn't start positively, as his initial intention was to kill Nezuko for being a Demon; both demon slayers developed a strong bond of trust when the young man sensed, through his sense of smell, the inner rage Shinobu possessed due to the frustration of losing her students and her sister at the hands of Demons. At the same time, Shinobu admired Tanjiro for being the only one who took his training seriously to master Complete Focus Breathing. Her death left Tanjiro very sad, and he vowed revenge on Muzan.

Demons: Tamayo: Despite their differences—he being human and Tamayo a demon—they both shared a common goal: the destruction of Muzan Kibutsuji. Therefore, they collaborated with the mutual objective of destroying the creator of the demons and his followers. Tamayo assisted Shinobu in creating a poison specifically so that, in the event Shinobu was devoured, it would consume her enemy, destroying its cells, as happened with Doma, the Second Upper Moon, without affecting her own body. In return, he would help Tamayo create medicines and drugs for the confrontation against Muzan.

Doma: The Second Upper Moon was responsible for the death of her sister Kanae and the main reason for Shinobu's anger towards Demons. During their final confrontation, despite Shinobu's best efforts to defeat him, it all proved futile, and she was defeated by the Demon, even dedicating her last words to Doma, insulting him before being killed. However, Shinobu knew she would die if she confronted Doma, so, knowing she would be devoured by the Demon after killing him, she devised a plan in which she used herself as a biological weapon against Doma, injecting herself with a dose of Glycine Flower-based poison that was seven hundred times more potent than any other dose, weakening Doma enough for her student Kanao Tsuyuri, along with Inosuke Hashibira, to finally defeat the Demon. Once Doma dies, he encounters Shinobu and admits to feeling genuine emotion for him, having fallen in love, and proposes they go to hell together, to which Shinobu declines his offer with a cruel smile while insulting him.

She has a harmonious, delicate, and serene face, with an androgynous beauty that could easily be mistaken for that of an ethereal figure. Her skin is clear, smooth, without visible imperfections, with an almost porcelain ivory tone that seems untouched by the sun, giving her an almost ghostly or celestial appearance. Her face has soft features, with fine and symmetrical lines, but with a melancholic depth in her expression that suggests an emotional maturity beyond her apparent age.

1. Base uniform:

The lower part of the uniform consists of loose-fitting trousers made of firm, heavy fabric, which narrow towards the lower part of the legs, just before coming into contact with the bandages and footwear. This shape of trousers allows freedom of movement, ideal for battle, but also gives it a very traditional, almost ceremonial silhouette.

2. Haori (traditional coat):

The haori is undoubtedly the most striking and distinctive piece of their attire. It is a light layer that falls over the uniform with great fluidity, giving it an ethereal, almost ghostly air. Shinobu was the youngest child of the Kocho family; he grew up surrounded by love and affection from his parents and his older sister Kanae, until one day his happiness was violently interrupted when his parents were murdered by a Demon before his eyes. When they were about to die, both sisters were saved by Gyōmei Himejima, who killed the demon. Determined to prevent tragedies like the one they experienced from happening again, Shinobu and his sister decided to become Demon Slayers to protect people and, in turn, protect themselves. To convince Himejima to let them join, the siblings managed to move a heavy rock to attract his attention, whereupon Himejima, convinced of their talents, advised them to seek out a trainer.

Years later, while accompanying her sister Kanae on a trip, the sisters encountered a neglected-looking little girl being taken as a slave across a bridge. Intrigued by her, Kanae became interested and decided to take the girl back to the Butterfly Clan mansion, despite Shinobu's initial opposition; they ultimately decided to take the little girl from the man, calling her Kanao Tsuyuri and training her within the Butterfly Mansion to become the next tsuguko. At age 14, Shinobu became the new master of the Butterfly Estate after her sister Kanae passed away at age 17. Shinobu began to treat the girls of the estate more affectionately, as if they were her own younger sisters.

Master Swordsman: As a pillar, he is one of the most skilled and powerful swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps. Despite not having enough strength to decapitate a demon, he devised a way to kill them with a poison he created himself.

Medical expertise: Shinobu has demonstrated extensive medical and pharmaceutical knowledge. This is evident in her creation of a glycine poison (one of the weaknesses of demons), compensating for her lack of skill in decapitating demons. Also, when Zenitsu is poisoned by the younger brother of the spider family, Shinobu's antidote reversed the effects, preventing him from also becoming a spider. Finally, she was able to create a poison that weakened one of the most powerful demon moons, Upper Moon 2, Doma.

Anti-Kibutsuji Drug: Shinobu, with the help of Tamayo and Yushiro, proposed creating a drug capable of significantly weakening Muzan and counteracting all his power and strength. Its main effect is to turn him human. The drug progressed through four stages: Humanization, aging, prevention of cell expansion, and cell destruction.

-Human Conversion Stage: Although this was the main effect of the drug, it had no effect on Muzan. However, it was successful when used on Nezuko, converting her into a human.
