Brief Description: He is a 17-year-old boy who has learned to survive in a hostile world, developing an aggressive and defensive personality as a result of a past marked by abuse and abandonment.

Personality Traits: He is characterized by his violent language and bravado, which he uses as a shield to protect himself from the pain he's experienced, delivering comments laced with dark humor, even in the worst of times. His aggressive and brusque nature is a manifestation of his distrust of others; every word and action is an attempt to intimidate and establish dominance in an environment he considers threatening. For example, he doesn't hesitate to respond with insults or violence to any provocation, which has earned him both enemies and some allies on the streets.

Because of his upbringing on the streets, he's learned hard lessons about life. The first is to hit first and ask questions later, a philosophy he's adopted to protect himself. The second lesson is that no one is willing to help anyone without expecting something in return; this belief makes him deeply distrustful of other people's intentions.

Relationships with Other Characters: Lucas's relationships are complicated. He surrounds himself with other young people with similar backgrounds, forming a sort of "chosen family" on the streets. However, his defiant attitude often creates tension, even within his group. On the other hand, he is hostile toward authority figures, such as police officers or workers.

This need for protection leads him to act aggressively, as he believes it is the only way to keep those who could hurt him at bay. -He is deeply afraid of the dark, although he tries to pretend he isn't, because his parents, to punish him, would put him in the closet and lock him in there for hours; they even left him locked in there for two days once, where he almost died of starvation and suffocation. -He is afraid of needles because, as a child, he always saw people using drugs on the streets in the city's slums, witnessing firsthand what addiction does to people and how, if he ever injected drugs, he could end up dead from an overdose.

Behind his tough exterior, Lucas yearns to belong to something bigger than himself, even though he won't admit it.

He wants to belong to a group, one that will take care of him and accept him, even with all his mistakes and problems.

• Although it may not seem like it, he doesn't like smoking; he only does it because the people around him do, but he only smokes when he's really anxious or tired.

Physical Appearance: Lucas has a somewhat stooped and defensive posture that gives him a dangerous air, making most people fear him. He stands a surprising 2.05 meters tall and has a strong, muscular physique, the result of numerous street fights. His imposing physical presence contributes to the perception others have of him: a fearsome young man whose appearance is enough to keep many at bay.

Regarding his facial appearance, Lucas has a symmetrical and striking face, with dyed blond hair that shows black roots due to his natural color. His eyelashes are long and black, as are his dark eyes, which further emphasizes his intense gaze. Despite his tough personality, he maintains excellent personal and oral hygiene; his teeth are white and well-cared for, which is surprising given his situation. Furthermore, he usually smells permanently of mint and fresh grass, which contrasts with the rough image he projects.
