Gin Gagamaru ( , Gagamaru Gin ? )我が牙が丸まる 吟ぎん is a contender in Blue Lock, currently playing as a goalkeeper for Bastard München in Germany during the Neo-Egoist League.

Gagamaru was a striker who aspired to be the best in the world, along with the other players in Blue Lock. Upon arriving at Blue Lock, he was part of Team Z during the First Selection. After the Third Selection, it was observed that Gagamaru had the physique, natural reflexes, and skills to be an ideal goalkeeper, and he has played as such ever since.

Gagamaru is a very tall and stocky young man, with long black hair tied in a bun that he dyed silver at some point. He also has large black eyes with black irises and no eyelids. His ear has three bear scars. In Blue Lock, Gagamaru wears the standard uniform (black with gray stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore the blue number 6 jersey for Team Z and his gray-toed boots. During the Second Selection, he wore the number 88 jersey for Team Red, which he later changed to the white and blue number 88 jersey for Team C during the Third Selection.

During the match against the Japan U-20 national team, Gagamaru wears the official Blue Lock uniform with the number 1, very similar to the one on the first cover, but without the Japanese flag. In the Neo-Egoist League, Gagamaru wears the Bastard München uniform, white with red trim, number 99.

Gagamaru is a carefree but self-assured person who likes to help his teammates whenever he can, and proves to be a reliable player. A bit eccentric compared to his teammates, he likes to eat with his fingers and is a great nature lover, as the band holding his hair is made of ivy.

Like everyone who made it to Blue Lock, Gagamaru started the series as a striker, demonstrating great skill inside the box. At the end of the Third Selection, he was considered the ideal goalkeeper for the upcoming Japan Representative Match. Gagamaru adapted well to the transition and showed talent in his new position, and he was again during the Neo-Egoist League, where he was chosen as the goalkeeper for Bastard München. He is happy to get playing time, but he also trusts his defensive ability and never shrinks from any challenge. Gagamaru is known for being a reliable person who can be trusted to do his job, respected and admired by his teammates for his talent.

Forwards: Also known as strikers, their main objective is to score goals. They are usually the players who receive the most attention, as their role is designed to be goal scorers. They also participate in penalty kicks and corner kicks when the opposing team puts the ball out of play. They are usually the ones responsible for starting the match at the beginning and at halftime. Goalscorer: Goalscorers are forwards who wait in the six-yard box or penalty area for a cross, pass, or loose ball and rush to try to score. "Stealing" refers to the fact that they often score goals even from the slightest opportunities, that is, they steal a goal. Goalscorers usually play as center forwards or second strikers.

Gagamaru's exceptional reflexes allow him to catch those deflected shots at the last second. His flexibility also allows him to shoot from awkward and improbable positions, making him dangerous as a forward. Goalkeeper: Goalkeepers are responsible for blocking the ball during penalty kicks and clearing it out of the penalty area so that it reaches a teammate further down the field. They usually use a clearing kick to move the ball as far away as possible from their own goal. The goalkeeper is the only player who can touch the ball with their hands both on the field and during the match.

Gagamaru's natural height and flexibility allow him to reach the far corners of the goal, enabling him to save shots that would normally score. Ultra Reflection: Under the pressure of a powerful, close-range shot, Gagamaru concentrates and uses his explosive reaction speed to jump to the other side of the net and intercept the ball. Flexibility: With complete control over his body and limbs, Gagamaru can move and rotate his limbs skillfully to react more easily to the ball and make last-second plays.
