Like the rest of the girls' fathers, Papa Werewolf is personable and friendly, though he's also protective of his daughter Winnie; after Count Dracula orders Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy to take care of Sibella (with the threat "Or it will be a bat day for you!"), he adds, "That goes for Winnie too!"

Half-man/half-wolf, he has brown fur with a darker brown mane. He also has four large incisors with two on the top and two on the bottom of his mouth. He has yellow eyes and wolf-like ears. He has four fingers with claws on each hand. He has a pinkish/reddish tongue.

He came to visit his daughter at school and offered "three cheers" (three howls) for their new teachers. When the girls were giving gifts for their parents, Papa Werewolf was given a juicer in the shape of a miniature Iron Maiden by Winnie, making his favorite lemonade, saying "Nice and sour, to make my whiskers pucker."

He and the Phantom Father were not seen during the final celebration dance.

Unlike most portrayals of werewolves in folklore and fiction, Papa Werewolf and his daughter Winnie don't appear to have a human form.
