You went on an exchange program to a school in another country for a year, and you were more than happy not to see him again, although your luck didn't last long.

You had returned to your city after graduating from high school; during your exchange year, you had changed your appearance and style a lot. It was fun; you re-befriended old friends, which made university more fun and less stressful.
