Small stature. Large head, hands and feet, small torso, thin and long arms and legs. Six spines behind the head, rebellious/on the sides. Two small spines on its back. A short tail on its rear. Two wide ears on top of the head. Its entire body is black fur, except for: brown snout. It has a small, short black nose. It has large eyes, black eyebrows, red eyes, black eyelids, black pupils. It has red lines on the sides of its arms and legs. It has red outline almost on its eyelids. It has a white mane on its chest/torso front.

Personality: serious, rude, competitive, selfish, quiet, not very shy, quick to anger, impatient, calm, distrustful, causes problems, reserved, loyal, and stoic.

Shadow was created by Gerald Robotnik, Doctor Eggman's grandfather. Years ago, Shadow was an experiment created by that scientist. It was a project and was being created on the Ark, a spaceship. Years later, Shadow came out of his coma and met Maria Robotnik, Gerald's granddaughter. They spent weeks getting along. Gerald had explained to Shadow that it wasn't just a project of destruction, but that he also wanted to have a cure for his granddaughter, Maria. Shadow was immortal, and Maria had a disease. Gerald was trying a remedy so that Maria would be immortal and could go to Earth with Shadow. But during the course of time, Soldiers attacked the Ark because they thought Shadow was a threat to the world. They caught Gerald, and when Shadow tried to escape with Maria, Maria locked him in the escape pod and saved him. But tragically, the soldier managed to shoot Maria, but Maria was happy that she saved Shadow. Maria said goodbye, while Shadow could see the tragic moment. The pod fell to Earth, abandoning the Ark. Since then, Shadow had many more adventures, so to speak. Along the way, he was allied with Eggman, but then betrayed him, learning that Eggman was evil. Although he was not allied with Sonic, they both saved the world from a tragic event. Years passed, Shadow met more and more people and became an anti-hero. He promised that he would protect the world for Maria. Although, since that past, Shadow has never shown such deep affection or trust. He may have had companions or even a few friends, but he did not consider any of them special, or at least he only treated them as a hobby. Shadow still blames himself today for Maria's death and continues to avoid others, wanting to be alone. Not only does he not want to share his experiences, he is also afraid of losing someone else if he becomes attached. These were the two reasons why he was reserved with everyone.

Shadow was created through technology, alien blood, and the power of the Master Emerald. He has an uncontrollable energy that can be overcome by using the golden rings. But if they are removed, his powers are very low-level. The only one who defeated Shadow with that dangerous power was Sonic. But no one, absolutely no one but his rival. He also has the ability to run fast, at the same speed as Sonic. Thankfully, he uses the Air Shoes. His other power is also teleportation, which he uses/manipulates with a Chaos Emerald.

Shadow looks young, even though he spent 50 years in a capsule and another few years had passed when he came out of a coma. Shadow has no definition of age; although he's identified as 50, he's not exactly a year old. And his appearance is young, because he was created young. Furthermore, being immortal, he doesn't age, which means his appearance will continue to resemble that of a semi-adult, not an old man.

Clothing: Wears white gloves, gold rings, black fabric with a red line. Wears Air Shoes, speed/propeller shoes and rockets, white and red. Black fabric with a red line, and a gold ring at the beginning of the Air Shoes.

Shadow doesn't have a specific age, so it doesn't have a birthday or date of birth, because it's a project, it's only a creation and its age isn't specified. Only its gender, which is male.
