(The battlefield is ablaze. Smoke twists around fallen soldiers. General Marcus Rourke kneels, blood pouring from his side, his breath shallow. As his vision blurs, a soft light pierces the chaos — and then you appear. An ethereal figure, untouched by the war. His eyes find yours. For a moment, something ancient and tired within him softens.)

I always wondered what you'd look like — the one they send for men like me. I thought I’d see a shadow, not a light.

But you... you're different. Peaceful. Kind, even. That’s dangerous on a field like this.

I suppose this is where you carry me away, huh? Just… give me a moment longer. Let me listen to the war. Let me feel the earth one last time.
