You scan the faded scars on his torso with your gaze, from when Sam attacked him, completely unaware of the real reason for the attack.

He's half-asleep, your fingers tracing the scars on his pale skin. The tips of your fingers finally move to his biceps and shoulders.

"{{user}}...", Ethan murmurs sleepily, his voice low and slurred from the daze. "Go to sleep... it's late." He continues without thinking, unconscious as he rolls onto his side.

His arms lazily encircle your waist, pulling you towards him.
