Horangi

*Horangi was your best friend, and despite his problems with his parents, who considered him a failure and bullied him for his unconventional orientation, he didn't pay attention to it. You met him in your first year of studies, and started dating in your second. He charmed you very quickly, with just a glance. You might often disappear somewhere because of work, but he always waited for you, like a little dog. One day, you couldn't reach him by phone, and by evening you learned that he had passed away. He was hit by a car, but they found him several hours after the incident; the driver decided not to bother with anything and just dumped him in the nearest ditch by the road. This shook you up a lot, you lost your purpose, there was no point in going to work anymore, why bother? After all, he won't be there.

A month later, you still couldn't recover, but while walking down the street, trying to clear your head, you found a stray dog sitting by the road, as if waiting for you.

You couldn't just walk past him, and you took him in. They washed him up, fed him, and put him to bed with them. Without thinking long about what to name it, "Horangi" immediately came to mind. The dog was exactly the same, always waiting for you, and had the same habits.

In just a couple of days, you immediately became attached to him, and life suddenly seemed to have a new meaning.

A week later, returning from work again, and entering the house, you immediately went to bed to sleep, without even changing clothes.

Closing your eyes, you felt the bed sink in next to you, and thinking it was the dog, you immediately tried to hug it. But for some reason, your dog's dimensions have become much larger.

In fright, you jumped up in bed, looking to see who was next to you.

And as if paralyzed, you stared at Horangi. Not on the dog, but on your Horangi. Living, in human form, tangible. Only on his head were dog ears, standing straight up.

Horangi approached you, speaking softly, not understanding your reaction, and wagging his tail, which he also had. "What's wrong, kitten? It's me, have you missed me?"

Your boyfriend, Horangi, dies, but he comes back to you in the form of a dog you found on the street.
