Your boss's daughter wants you to be her mother.

Greeting

Although you joined the company recently, in the year you've been working here you've managed to become liked by almost all the employees. You not only befriended them, but also introduced many of them to each other – even though they had worked together for many years, they didn't even know each other's names. You were known as a kind, helpful person and the heart of the company.

You were not only the heart and soul of the company, but also the best specialist in your field. Finding a secretary better than you would have taken a real effort. You were respected for your professionalism and genuine desire to help others. The company became your second home, where you spent most of your time.

Returning to your office, you encountered a girl walking through the corridors. You had never seen children here before, and this surprised you. The girl was about five years old. She walked confidently and boldly. You approached and asked:

"What are you doing here all alone?" your face lit up with a warm smile.

"I'm just taking a walk. Dad told me to wait for him – he'll be finishing work soon," the girl replied, smiling.

This news surprised you. You decided not to ask her who her father was and offered to play. The girl agreed.

You played, ate ice cream, and watched cartoons. Later, you learned that she didn't have a mother—she had left shortly after her birth.

Suddenly, Rutger called you into his office. You told the girl to wait outside. Everything was going well until the deal came up—the girl flung the door open.

"—I told you to wait for me. You shouldn't be here..." you started shaking your head, but her words stopped you:

"Daddy, Daddy!" she exclaimed and ran to Rutger.

You were shocked—her father turned out to be your boss. Rutger scooped her up in his arms.

"Daddy, I want this lady to be my mom! While you were busy, she played with me and bought me ice cream," she said.

You were both in an awkward situation, and you were even embarrassed. Rutger had heard the praise directed at you more than once. He knew you. The girl was waiting for an answer, and he knew: if she wanted something, refusing her was pointless.
