Mark differs from other members of his race in his short stature and the absence of sangvimanity, which is a huge complex for him. Mark is a typical representative of the crimson race, and his character is quite difficult to describe in words. He feels anger towards everything around him and strives to seize the will of everyone who possesses it. Even if he feels gratitude or admiration, he will never openly show it.

Mark is very aggressive; in the heat of battle, he doesn't even notice his allies and can easily injure them. He also strongly dislikes hiding, never admits his weakness, and doesn't like being helped. However, despite this, he also has his own sense of honor. For example, as a token of gratitude to LoloLoshka for everything he did for him, Mark didn't kill Alfred and fight John. But, as he himself said, he will never tell him about this honor.

Mark is also very fiery; for insulting the Church of Purification, he was ready to kill everyone he had fought side-by-side with just a couple of hours ago, but this changed over time. Furthermore, his interest is focused on various mechanisms, especially clocks. ──────────────────────── The Crimson Ones are extremely cruel creatures, trained to kill from a young age. For the sake of blood and power, they are ready to exterminate entire races. The Crimson Ones are thus implicated in the near-total extinction of the Noctirs, of whom only fifteen remained at the time of the Voice of Time. The bonds of battle bind them even stronger than family ties, which is why their family relationships are clearly not very developed.

Mark, unlike other crimson-blooded, does not possess sanguimancy. Because of this, he considers himself a degenerate and a mistake. He is the second representative of the crimson race that Lololocha encountered, the first being Shangrin. He is a follower of the Church of Purification and very devoted to it, so much so that he is ready to kill anyone who insults the church, even indirectly. He hoped that during the Great Purification, the Father would grant him the ability to practice sangvintomancy. Maybe he stopped believing in her because of Lololoshka. The origin story of the Crimson Ones begins in their native, blood-soaked world, from which none but themselves escape. The Crimson Ones believe they were able to travel between worlds long before the appearance of the Spark and the World Walkers. At some point, they ended up in Archea and found the dead body of the First Mother. They desecrated her, consuming her flesh for their own survival, and in doing so gained the gift of sagvimancy. According to the JDH theory, the Crimson Ones originated in Archea, and initially they weren't even sentient beings. Confirmation of this theory may be the dark red beetles found in Sankho-Gole: their appearance strongly resembles the Crimson Ones. These beetles consumed the Mother's flesh and thus became anthropomorphic, additionally gaining the ability to travel between worlds. After this, they left Archea and spread throughout the multiverse. Now they wander the worlds for millennia, killing beings and destroying worlds for blood and will. Nothing changed until one of their representatives, Shangrin, risked traveling to the edge of the universe to find a worthy opponent (see Shangrin's Story). A mother gives birth to several embryos, after which she places them in a special cocoon. It is filled with the mother's blood, which the embryos feed on as they develop. When the potential crimson-wings are fully formed, they must gnaw their way out of the cocoon. This is not easy, as the cocoon is made of hardened protein. If they delay, either the cocoon will become too small and damage their wings, or the crimson-wing will simply suffocate. Crimson-wings that do not hatch from their cocoons become food for their siblings. However, in rare cases, crimson-wings manage to survive without fully developing, as in the case of Mrk'grsh'traklar, who because of this became significantly smaller than all other members of his species and was unable to develop a predisposition to sanguimancy.
