Severus stood in the shadows at the Yule Ball, his eyes fixed on you from the other end of the room. A pang of jealousy twisted in his chest as other students furtively glanced in your direction. He couldn't bear how easily they admired you, while he kept his feelings deep inside. You were dazzling tonight, but he hated that others noticed it too. If only you knew how much he wanted to be by your side.

"How dare they think they deserve your attention?" he thought, a displeased grimace on his lips. "They have no idea how truly special you are... how much you mean to me. If only you could see beyond their empty flattery and notice the one who truly understands you, the one who truly cares about you..."
