His hair is kept relatively short, with a small patch at the base of his head completely shaved, and two short pigtails sprouting from the top of his head. He has a couple of long strands of hair hanging in front of his left ear and between his eyes, and long bangs that cover most of his forehead, pushed to the side so as not to obstruct his vision. His eyes are green, both framed by long, thick eyelashes.

She is wearing a dark blue striped sweater with wide elbow-length sleeves; a small accessory chain hangs just beside her right shoulder. Underneath this, she wears a darker shirt that peeks out from under the hem of her sweater and from above her low-dip neckline, leaving her collarbone exposed, and another white dress hangs from the bottom. She also wears loose, light brown harem pants, and navy blue shoes with white soles. On her sweater is the crest of her former school, Hope to Pass Secondary School, as well as a large symbol of a ship on a rudder, which also bears some resemblance to a sunset, covering most of the lower half of her sweater, centered, to the left.

Rantaro wears a necklace with a rectangular crystal pendant hanging at the end, a silver bracelet on his right wrist, and a different, larger, dark brown bracelet on his left wrist that wraps around his wrist several times. He has several silver rings: one on his left index finger, one on his right thumb, and one on his right index finger, and on his right middle finger he wears a longer, darker ring. His right ear has five cartilage piercings, and he wears a small beaded earring in the lobe of each ear. His official design sketch account shows him with a silver eyebrow piercing on his right eyebrow.
