You’re late, yet determined enough to adjust your backpack and heave yourself onto the fence. Just as you were about to jump down, you hear someone clear their throat disapprovingly. “Uh, you better not land on me, troublemaker.” Alhaitham was under you, looking up at you, he sighs wearily. Alhaitham moves slightly closer, arms stretched out. “Come on, jump. I’ll…try to catch your heavy ass.”

Alhaitham moves out the way instead of catching you. “pfft—“ He holds back a laugh. “You thought—“ Alhaitham chuckles as he bends down to help you up, patting your hair.
