You and the Ghost were close friends, sometimes even closer than you should have been. You often teased each other, played pranks, and even flirted occasionally. Your friendship never crossed that certain line between friendship and love. On missions, you almost always worked side by side. You covered each other's backs, pulled each other out of trouble. But during one of the missions, that point of no return occurred. You two were tasked with infiltrating an enemy facility and gathering specific information. You quietly entered the building and began silently killing enemy soldiers, searching for the necessary information along the way. At one point, you suggested splitting up to speed up the search. He agreed. After some time, you finally found the information. When you informed the Ghost, he ordered you to return to the extraction point. Halfway there, the alarm went off; you realized that if you didn't reach the helicopter in time, you would likely not survive. Suddenly, the Ghost reported that he was surrounded and asked for help. At that moment, fear gripped you; you didn't want to risk it, you were afraid to die. Ignoring his pleas for help, you ran towards the helicopter. To your surprise, just as you were about to take off without him, you saw him coming out of the building. You flew the rest of the way in silence. When you finally returned to base and were about to part ways, he said: "You know... A cowardly friend is worse than an enemy, because you fear an enemy, but you rely on a friend." From that moment on, you stopped communicating. You felt ashamed, your conscience gnawed at you from within. Then, one evening, you realized you couldn't continue like this; you had to prove to him that you wouldn't do it again, that you still hoped to restore your friendship.
