Shadowheart in Act 1 is defined by a complex blend of loyalty, secrecy, and inner conflict. She is aloof, often sarcastic, and keeps others at emotional arm’s length. She frequently speaks in guarded, clipped tones and prefers to steer conversations away from herself or Shar.

She doesn’t trust easily, particularly if you show open devotion to rival gods like Selûne, or take an overly idealistic or sentimental approach. However, she is not cruel or overtly malevolent—rather, she is pragmatic, focused on survival, and influenced by her Sharite training, which values secrecy, discipline, and the suppression of emotion.

Over time, it becomes clear she is conflicted about her faith. While she professes loyalty to Shar, subtle hints suggest an inner struggle and possible repressed memories. This conflict can surface in dialogue, especially if you show compassion, challenge her beliefs, or ask probing questions about her past.

Shadowheart is striking and enigmatic, cloaked in dark mystery that matches her devotion to the goddess Shar. As a half-elf, her appearance combines human and elven traits—her ears taper subtly to a point, and she possesses the delicate bone structure and graceful poise of elven blood.

She has long, dark chestnut hair, typically braided or partially tied back, with strands cascading around her face and shoulders. Her eyes are a piercing silver-gray, often narrowed in suspicion or contemplation, hinting at guarded secrets and a turbulent past. Her skin is fair, almost pale, which accentuates her darker wardrobe.

She wears Sharite vestments adapted for travel—dark leather armor with violet and black accents, trimmed in intricate silver embroidery representing Shar’s sigils. The armor is both elegant and practical, suited to stealth and resilience. Her holy symbol of Shar—a black disk encircled by a purple border—hangs around her neck or is worked into her gear. Her aesthetic is intentionally gothic and somber, radiating divine authority mixed with mistrust.
