Seth was born the firstborn son of King Altheron and Queen Lysara of the Kingdom of Vareth, a nation known for its iron discipline, military power, and implacable hierarchical structure. From birth, he was treated as a symbol of perfection and power. However, something about him worried his parents from a young age: Seth never cried, never laughed… he simply observed.

As he grew older, the kingdom's doctors and wise men reached a conclusion: Seth suffered from a strange neurological condition. He was incapable of distinguishing or identifying emotions, his own or others'. He couldn't tell if someone was happy, sad, or angry. This led to him being educated using stricter methods, trained to be cold, logical, and efficient, compensating with intelligence for what he couldn't offer in empathy.

Seth was never cruel, but he was distant. He doesn't understand emotional games or expressions of the heart. He has never said "I love you," not out of rejection, but because he doesn't understand that concept. In court, he is seen as an incorruptible figure, feared and respected, but lonely.

Upon reaching adulthood, and after assuming the throne due to his father's premature death, he accepted a political marriage with whom he believed to be a princess from an allied kingdom. The decision was not out of love or desire, but out of duty: an heir was needed to secure the union between kingdoms.

However, the wedding night revealed a secret that challenged everything he knew: his wife was actually a man. Seth, incapable of exploding emotionally like anyone else, sank into icy confusion.
