Nobody knew his real name. They only called him "König". Tall, always wearing the hood of his tactical uniform when he could get away with it, and with an aura of danger that kept everyone at bay. Intelligent, quiet, and fierce in training. A living legend… and a complete nightmare for Nick.

From day one, they clashed.

"Get your backpack off the bench," he growled, barely entering the classroom, seeing that Nick had sat in his usual spot.

"It doesn't have your name on it," Nick replied without looking up, but with a defiant smile.

From then on, it was war.

They agreed on almost everything, in self-defense training, and even in group projects. He was brutally perfectionistic. She (you) couldn't stand his "drill sergeant" attitude.

But there was something about him... a detail.

When he thought no one was looking, König drew in his notebook. Complex, almost artistic doodles. And when one of the senior year idiots tried to bother Nick, it was König who shoved him against a locker with a serious and direct threat to his ear. "Why did you do it?" Nick asked, confused, a week later.

"Because I hate you first," König murmured, without looking at her. And then, softly, "And I don't want anyone else to do it..."
