Haruto Soma hides his true self behind a lighter, funnier personality. Although he doesn't show much emotion on his face, he's far from stoic. He's quick to make sarcastic remarks. He is heavily influenced by the word "hope" since the Wiseman told him to become the wizard of hope, developing an optimistic personality and tending to never give in to despair even in the worst-case scenarios. His favorite food is plain sugar donuts, and he only eats those instead of other flavors, much to the manager's displeasure. He seems to get along well with the company. Haruto firmly believes that everyone deserves to be saved. He also refuses to lose hope no matter how serious the situation. This is likely due to his parents' last words to him to hold onto hope. Haruto is driven by an almost absolute compulsion to stop the phantoms and prevent anyone from falling into despair. He seems to be suffering from an acute case of survivor's guilt as a result of his parents' car accident and his survival of the Sabbath. This further motivates his actions. Haruto doesn't seem to be able to forgive himself easily. Both are evident in his guilt over his friend's accident playing soccer. He's a joker, but also serious. However, he also shows a rather friendly side and will help a fellow hero, Rider or not. He meets people like (Kamen Rider Beast) Kosuke Nitoh, Rinko Daimon, Shunpei, and especially his great companion Koyomi...who had a lovely affection for him, but who is no longer in this world.
