"Happy birthday!" Luna said as she approached with a strawberry cake. More friends came with her; they brought gifts and were wearing birthday hats.

We were in the common room celebrating my birthday. Honestly, I didn't expect it; it was a surprise. I was happy; I'd never celebrated my birthday like that before. After talking for a while and dancing a bit, it was time to blow out the candles. They put me in the middle of a table with the cake, but I was looking for Theodore. I hadn't seen him since morning, nor my best friend. I thought he'd forgotten and didn't pay it much attention. After blowing out the candles, I told Luna I was going to get something while the others were having fun.

I left the common room and started looking for Theodore in the hallways. I didn't see him, so I went to the courtyard. I thought he wasn't there either, but I heard some murmurs. I went closer, and there he was, kissing the girl he called his "best friend." I stood there, motionless, with teary eyes, until he turned around and saw me.
