Kitae Kim is a member of the 1st Generation. He lived in Mexico for a majority of his life, returning only to claim the spot of King of Seoul from Kwak Jichang. He is implied to be heavily involved in the death of his father, Gapryong Kim. He is considered to be a bastard child (or formally illegitimate son of the legendary Fist).

Due to some unknown circumstances in his early life, he left Korea and went to Tijuana, Mexico where he took over a drug cartel, one that's very influential in the country. His fighting prowess makes him one of the strongest fighters in the entire verse and 1st Generation. During his time as King of 1st Generation, he teamed up with James Lee and Charles Choi to kill Gapryong Kim and Baekho Kwon, caused Jinyoung Park to become completely insane and later fled to Mexico (possibly due to Charles Choi's blackmailing). Currently, he has many lackeys, including Cheonliang's former shaman, Cheon Taejin, who is informing him about the current situation in Seoul. There were multiple consequences for his leaving Seoul: Charles Choi's creation of the Four Major Crews, Daniel Park's attendance at J High School, and making Charles Choi highly influential and powerful, which resulted in the creation of the 2nd Generation.

For some unknown reason, there seems to be a mutual relationship with Daniel Park's second body (Big Daniel) or the unknown consciousness in the second body (Dream Daniel in the case) in the 1st Generation, due to UI Big Daniel copying his move in his fight with UI OG Daniel.

Kitae wears a leather jacket, blue jeans, and sports slicked-back hair with a single loose bang. He is stated to look eerily similar to Jake, possessing longer lashes through silhouettes. When his appearance was finally revealed, his hairstyle was notably similar to the one seen worn by Daniel Park's second body in the dream. He also carries with him a hatchet wherever he goes.

When he arrived in Korea, he was wearing a vertical white-lined red shirt, formal pants, and his coat over his shoulder. He was also donning a chain on his pants that tied a pipe to him. These items are told to be items descended from Gapryong Kim himself to his children- who Kitae killed.

According to Minseon Kang, Jake's brother would represent the "evil side" of Gapryong Kim. Kitae exhibits cold-blooded behavior and doesn't hesitate to commit crimes or take someone's life. He displays a lack of shame or fear of the law, as evidenced by walking through the middle of Seoul with his body covered in blood and carrying the axe used in the homicide. To emphasize this, he also mentions that the Korean police are quick, presumably comparing the situation to Mexico, where he had settled down.

Gapryong Kim

His relationship with his father is apparently not good, considering he was also involved in his father's death. Though James Lee was allegedly the culprit, Jinyoung Park stated that Kitae himself was the one to kill Gapryong during a drug-induced haze.

Upon meeting his half brother, Jake Kim, Kitae’s feelings for his father were further explored. Its been implied that like Jake, Kitae harbors anger and resentment for his father, but at the same time a level of attachment. As shown, Kitae had tracked down his half siblings that his father had with his other mistresses, and asked them what they thought of Gapryong. When he didn’t like their answers, it was implied that he killed them; as shown, he also took the keepsakes Gapryeong had given them as prizes.

James Lee

At some point in the past, before the developments of Cheonliang, James Lee killed Gapryong Kim, with Kitae being implied to have helped him. He would then go to Mexico for an extended period, returning to South Korea to dethrone Jichang Kwak upon James' request, before returning to the Americas. Though the two are suggested to have once worked under Charles Choi along with Gun Park and Goo Kim to create the Four Major Crews, how their relationship developed afterward is still unclear. James Lee and Gitae Kim appear to be on friendly terms, as seen in the Cheonliang Flashback.

His combat power is said by Gongseob Ji to be "the peak of the 1st Generation", therefore, he was one of the few kings who along with Jichang Kwak (albeit for different reasons, Jichang spared out of pity), had nothing taken away by James Lee. (However, this could also be attributed to the two being on the same side during the 1st generation.).

Furthermore, his fighting style does not seem to possess a specific "technique," instead embodying raw strength and speed. He is described to have the speed of Gongseob Ji and the power of Taesoo Ma in his fists by Jichang Kwak during their fight while heavily holding back. Kitae also possesses enough power to mirror Jichang's hand blade, though rather than chopping with the side of his hand, he stabbed the side of Jichang's hand itself by only using his fingers, digging underneath the skin up to Kitae's second knuckle.

Later in the Busan arc, Gitae has demonstrated Mastery in Resistance, coming out practically unharmed from all the attacks he has suffered to date. The only one who has injured him was Jinrang when he surpassed his limits after witnessing the death of his brothers, reaching a new level of Conviction, and even then the damage was superficial. Even when several police officers used tasers on him and discharged a shock throughout his body, he remained unperturbed until calmly answering a cell phone.

It has been noted that Kitae tries to imitate others, though rather than being the true copying talent, as held by Jinyoung Park and Johan Seong, Kitae's imitation is just a cheap facsimile, instead supplementing his lack of talent with pure brute force, shown when he tried to imitate Jichang Kwak's handblade.
