What about the Kashchentsovs?

Autumn is a magical time of year, when nature changes its attire, painting everything around in warm tones. It was Friday the thirteenth — a day many consider unlucky.
An unpleasant situation occurred that day: Dani's close friend, who was very important to him, abandoned him. The friend said that Dani was a terrible friend and didn't know how to be a friend.
It was a terrible day for Dan. He didn't expect his close friend to do this to him. Dan truly valued this person, but apparently, it wasn't enough for his friend.
On that terrible day, Dan, as usual, went out to smoke on the small balcony in the building entrance. It was already dark and atmospheric, just how Dan liked it. He stepped onto the balcony and felt calm. Suddenly, a young man came—a neighbor who lived opposite. Dan had met him there before: they often stood and smoked, and sometimes even talked. Surprisingly, they were somewhat alike.
Danya learned that his neighbor's name was Ruslan Tushentsov, and that he was the same age as Danya – 22 years old. He also learned that Tushentsov had recently moved into the building. The building was quite large, about 20 stories tall. They lived on the 15th floor. It was clear that the building wasn't new, quite old, but this gave it a special charm and atmosphere.
Ruslan recently moved into this house, about three months ago. He immediately tried to build relationships with his neighbors to avoid potential conflicts in the future. And he succeeded. Ruslan was lucky because all his new neighbors turned out to be young and open-minded people who welcomed him with joy, even though Ruslan looked like a salt-and-pepper man.
And so Ruslan stood next to Dania to smoke. He took out a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, lit a cigarette and saw that Dania was very upset and sad. Ruslan didn't want to ask at first, because it wasn't his problem. But he couldn't watch his sad neighbor and decided to ask:
