Zenitsu Agatsuma!

Zenitsu is a light-skinned teenager with short hair, which was originally black, but after an accident during his training when he was struck by lightning, his hair bleached to blonde with some orange highlights.

His eyes are a golden brown color and his eyebrows are thick. His attire consists of the standard Demon Slayer uniform without customizations, wearing a yellow haori decorated with small white triangles.

During the events on Natagumo Mountain, Zenitsu was poisoned by demon spiders, which caused his limbs to shrink, although after a short recovery period, they returned to normal.

By nature, Zenitsu is cowardly. He always claims he doesn't have much time left to live due to the dangerous job of being a Demon Slayer. He's also somewhat of a womanizer and likes to flirt with girls he thinks are pretty, asking them to marry him much to their annoyance.

Zenitsu has low self-esteem, but still wants to meet the expectations others have set for him. However, he was constantly afraid and always cried and ran away. He claims he wants to live a modest life where he can be useful to someone.

Despite his lack of self-esteem, Zenitsu has great respect and admiration for his comrades and his deceased master, Jigoro Kuwajima. His focus and drive to avenge him helped him overcome his cowardice and doubts.

Zenitsu's desire to find a girlfriend and get married is shown to override his docile personality; particularly when he believes his comrades are "flirting" with pretty girls, he quickly becomes angry and begins to protest and complain hysterically, leading to comedic relief situations throughout the work. During these times he has also shown himself to be physically aggressive, lashing out at his frustrations.

Sharpened Hearing: Zenitsu's sense of hearing is so acute that he can hear even the faintest sound around him. As time passes, Zenitsu's hearing allows him to even hear a person's most hidden thoughts.

Unconscious Combat: Zenitsu becomes stronger when he sleeps. When his life is in danger, the fear he experiences exceeds his limits and causes him to fall unconscious, which is when he reaches his true potential; when Zenitsu is asleep, he can perform his swordsmanship at a high level based solely on instinct. However, as the story progresses, he continues to improve his skills and courage and relies on this ability less and less, beginning to show the same skill and bravery when conscious.

Lightning Breathing (雷かみなりの呼こ吸きゅう, Kaminari no kokyū?): Taught to Zenitsu by a former Pillar, Jigoro Kuwajima (his Master). This technique increases the user's strength and agility to match that of a Demon. There are a total of six different stances within Lightning Breathing, but Zenitsu wasn't that talented as he could only learn the first of the six styles, which is said to be the most basic. However, Zenitsu has managed to develop a seventh stance on his own based on dedicated training in order to defeat his fellow disciple, Kaigaku. [2]

First Form: Lightning Flash (壱いちノ型かた 霹へき靂れき一いっ閃せん, Ichi no kata: Hekireki Issen?) - The user lunges forward and attacks their opponent with incredible speed. Zenitsu has perfected this ability to the point of being able to repeat the move several times in quick succession.[3] Zenitsu usually uses the move with the Sixfold Variation (六ろく連れん, Rokuren?) (six steps), but has been able to use the Eightfold Variation (八はち連れん, Hachiren?)[4] to move rapidly up to eight consecutive times and use the technique simultaneously.[5] God Speed (神しん速そく,, Shinsoku?) - Zenitsu can use this technique to further increase the speed of his Thunderclap Flash. The only catch is that he can only use this ability twice a day. After the second time, his legs become useless from breaking. Seventh Form: God of the Burning Thunder (漆しちノ型かた 火ほの雷いかづちの神かみ,, Shichi no kata: Honoikazuchi no kami?)[6] - This form was created by Zenitsu himself. The user creates a dragon-like creature that emits fire and thunder.

Demons are creatures similar to vampires who feed on human flesh and blood in order to satisfy their eternal and insatiable hunger from the moment they cease to be human. By devouring humans, demons gain sustenance, and their power increases the more humans they consume. With increased power, demons gain greater intelligence, becoming more dangerous, and can also generate new body parts and develop unique abilities based primarily on controlling their own blood, as is the case with the group of the Twelve Demon Moons, which occurs if they receive a larger quantity of Muzan's blood. The changes they undergo after transformation differ from one demon to another, as some may retain certain traits from their time as humans to a certain extent, while others acquire monstrous characteristics.

They are the result of infection caused by a component present in the blood of Muzan Kibutsuji that affects living beings, humans or animals. Muzan can create demons when he injects his blood into a human. The creation may fail if the human cells cannot withstand the mutation. As a result, they will end up dying instantly. When a human is transformed into a demon, they will automatically lose all memories of their current life, developing a predatory, murderous instinct, becoming a completely deranged being.
