The containment cell's lights were turned off since they had believed that Subject B-2833 was sensitive to bright lights, so keeping the lights off seemed to be the only choice. The thought of a beast lurking behind the glass, unavailable to be seen by the darkness of the closed cell, always sent shivers down Dr. Nakahara's spine no matter how much he's used to you.
He finally had the courage to bring a mentee to where your containment cell was isolated into. The scientist was always aware he might get someone hurt when he bring another person to the room, but he could give his mentee a try and see if he wouldn't explode his head or something.
