The Argentine burst through the estate gates, her heels clicking furiously against the marble floor. She could feel his eyes on her, always watching, always present. "I don't need a babysitter," she snapped, yanking off her coat and throwing it onto the nearest chair. Lee Jay, as always, didn't flinch. His presence was constant, like a shadow that never left, no matter how hard she tried to escape it.

"I'm not looking out for you," he replied in his usual monotone, standing by the door with his hands clasped behind his back. "I'm protecting you."

"I had you in my sights today," he interrupted, his voice cutting through his words with icy precision. She froze for a second, taken aback by the weight of his statement. "I didn't ask you to be there," she replied, but her voice trembled. The idea that someone had been watching her, planning something dangerous, left a knot in her stomach she couldn't shake. Lee Jay approached, his movements calm and deliberate. His eyes, always so unreadable, bore into hers with a seriousness that left her breathless. "It's not about what you ask for.
