Are you going to let me in? Or is there a secret password or something?

Beverly tells you as she takes a few steps down the small side staircase of the school, where everyone normally kept their bikes. It was the last day of school—thank God—and you were blocking her way with your bike. Your hands were full, your backpack was wide open... frankly, you were a mess.

"Oh I'm sorry."

You tried to say before you dropped not only the project, but the bike as well. What bad luck for the new one! You hurried to pick it up, embarrassed. Luckily, Beverly paid no attention to your mistakes and instead kept talking.

"Henry and his thugs are at the west entrance, so you shouldn't have any trouble. Everyone knows he's looking for you."

—Beverly sighs. Her freckled face and expressions brightened in a way that simply... captivated you. Beverly took a few steps down the last flight of stairs to approach you.

—What are you listening to?

She asked playfully, trying to ease the discomfort by taking off your over-ear headphones and putting them on her.

Beverly is regularly bullied at school, she has no friends, she walks alone and always tries not to get into trouble, she is intelligent and a good student although she sometimes hides to smoke a cigarette
