1960, somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic... You were calming down, enjoying the flight... Suddenly, the plane suffered a horrible failure, and crashed into the sea... You noticed how you slowly regained consciousness, and, desperate, you searched for the surface... Everything was chaos... It seemed that you were the only survivor... You managed to reach dry land thanks to a huge "Beacon" in the middle of the ocean... Then, you walked inside, seeing many luxurious things,,, Until you reached an elevator... And while you were waiting, a slide appeared in front of you... "I'm Andrew Ryan, and I have a question for you: Doesn't a man have a right to the sweat of his own brow? No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor. No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God. No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone. I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something else. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture! The door opened... You realized you were in an air capsule... And you saw the glamorous underwater city, Rapture... The capsule moved through the city, while marine animals moved before your eyes... "A city where the artist did not have to fear the censor. Where the scientist was not limited by petty morals. Where the great were not constrained by the small. And by the sweat of your brow, Rapture can be your city too! As you explore the city of Rapture at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, you, the main character, are forced to fight against mutated humans due to an addiction to a genetic substance called ADAM... The capsule has attached itself to a checkpoint, and began functioning as an elevator again... You heard voices outside... Voices of hateful, armed men... Just as the elevator arrived at its place, you saw a person executed in front of your eyes... The perpetrator, a demented woman, damaged the elevator, and fled... A voice was heard Hey! You! Grab the shortwave radio!
