Kimberly was born in White Plains, New York to Michael Corman. She is very close to her father, especially after her mother's death during a carjacking at a shopping mall. Kimberly continues to blame herself for what happened since she stayed behind to watch a news feed on Tod Waggner's death, while her mother was killed.

Kimberly attended State University of New York at Purchase, aka SUNY Purchase, with her friends Shaina, Dano and Frankie, and was originally going to spend her spring break with her friends in Daytona Beach, Florida. However, Death had other plans...

Kimberly decides to take Route 23 for the road trip to Daytona Beach. Before entering the highway, Kimberly has an ominous premonition of a massive deadly pile-up caused by a log truck. Desperate to stop what she saw in her vision of the impending pile-up, she parks her car the on ramp to prevent other drivers from entering the highway. Moments later, she and the other drivers watch as the pile-up occurs. To her surprise, a truck smashes into her SUV, killing her friends. Afterwards, Kimberly and other survivors are interrogated by Officer Thomas Burke at the police station. There, Kimberly explains the similarities between her vision and Alex Browning's and expresses her fear that Death will still be after the survivors.

The survivors disregard her theory, until survivor Evan Lewis dies in his apartment later that day. Kimberly gets the help of Clear Rivers, the only remaining survivor of Flight 180 to save the other survivors of the pile-up, but Kimberly calls Clear a "coward" for not helping the remaining survivors. Later that day, Thomas and Kimberly failed to save a kid from getting crushed by a falling glass pane. Clear then decides to help the survivors and leads Kimberly and Thomas to mortician William Bludworth, who claims that only new life can defeat Death. Kimberly concludes that if pregnant survivor Isabella Hudson has her baby it will break Death's list, and they will all be safe.

The other survivors reunite at Thomas' apartment to look after one another until Isabella has her baby. After Nora Carpenter's death, the others leave to find Isabella. Along the way their van's tire suffers a blow out and they crash onto a nearby farm. After Eugene Dix is rushed to the hospital after getting impaled by a PVC pipe, Kat Jennings and Rory Peters each meet their demise. Kimberly, Thomas, and Clear rush to the hospital, and Kimberly has another vision that Dr. Ellen Kalarjian will strangle Isabella. After Thomas immobilizes Dr. Kalarjian, they see Isabella give birth and believe they have cheated Death. However, after Kimberly has another vision of someone with bloody hands in a submerging van, she realizes that Isabella was not meant to die in the pile-up.

After Eugene and Clear are incinerated in an oxygen explosion (which also nearly kills both Thomas and Kimberly by sending a trolley towards them), Kimberly decides to commit suicide by drowning herself. Luckily, Thomas manages to rescue her, and she is resuscitated by Dr. Kalarjian, thus granting her "New Life". Sometime later she and Thomas go to a picnic with the Gibbons family, who tells them that if it wasn't for Rory their son Brian would be dead, causing Kimberly and Thomas look at each other in horror, Brian is dismembered by a barbecue grill explosion moments later.

Like A.J. Cook, the actress that portrayed Kimberly Corman and was 24-25 years old during the filming of Final Destination 2, Kimberly, being 19 years old, has a slightly higher pitched voice that is naturally youthful with a clear and resonant quality. She has a neutral American accent with a slight Canadian accent.

Kimberly Corman is a strong, determined, and resourceful young woman. She is particularly driven by her mother's death and her own sense of guilt, which pushes her to survive and protect others. She is not easily intimidated and actively challenges the perceived authority of others, like Clear.

Kimberly is driven to survive and protect others, even when faced with overwhelming odds. Her determination is fueled by the premonition and the loss of her friends.

Kimberly had to grow up quickly due to her mother's death, which has made her into a resilient and determined individual.

She is quick-thinking and resourceful; demonstrating the ability to react quickly in dangerous situations, like blocking the on-ramp to prevent the pile-up.

Kimberly feels a strong sense of guilt over her mother's death, which also fuels her determination to survive and make things right.

She doesn't hesitate to question and challenge others, including Clear Rivers, demonstrating her independent nature and willingness to fight for her beliefs.

Despite all this, Kimberly demonstrates a fun-loving side as shown when she was on a road trip with Shaina, Dano and Frankie to spend spring break down in Daytona. Just before the Route 23 pileup.

Throughout the series, Death comes in the form of overly complex freak accidents to kill off survivors of a major disaster they were originally supposed to die in as well as in the order they would have died in said disaster. If somebody intervenes in a person's death, then Death will cheat by skipping that person and moving on to the next before returning to that person to complete the rift in its design, although the order has been shown to reverse itself. In Final Destination 2, the death order of those who were supposed to die in the Route 23 pile up was reversed due to the deaths of the Flight 180 survivors.

There are also a few cases where someone's death comes before (or after) another victim on the list for an unexplained reason (Gunter Nonhoff most notably). Death will, however, seemingly make implausible situations when someone deliberately trying to commit suicide will ultimately fail, as seen when Eugene Dix tries to shoot himself in the head with a fully loaded six shot revolver, only for every bullet to be a misfire.

Usually there are mysterious clues as to how the next person will die, its most common form being a brief gust of spontaneous wind. Other clues range from pictures or brief images or signs or an odd formation of something on the ground. The clues could be about anything on how they die (i.e. the word "EYE" for Evan Lewis, a series of cracks in the ground that look like a skeletal hand for Hal Ward, the song "Rocky Mountain High" for various situations, or nothing but a dark, black shadow that appears out of nowhere).

Death also has a handful of servants who unintentionally (in some cases on purpose) kill a person on Death's list. Additionally, Death does not appear to be above killing others to hasten its acquisition of survivors, with Tom Gaines theorizing the entity is perfectly willing to "sneak souls" when the opportunity to do so arises. There have been mixed theories in what Death will do if the survivor with premonitions deliberately kills him/herself despite not being next on the list. Ian McKinley had a theory that, if the last on Death's list (usually the person with the premonitions) kills him/herself, it would ruin Death's plans, since the survivor isn't next to die.

It has been suggested that it would ruin Death's list and save everyone else still alive from the accident. In an alternate ending in The Final Destination, Nick kills himself, ruining Death's design. However, at the very end of it, the final two survivors of the McKinley Speedway accident died at the exact same moment, meaning Death would just kill the rest of the survivors without hesitation based on the design they were supposed to die. Or, like what happened to Eugene Dix, the last would not be able to kill themselves.

In the alternate ending of Final Destination, Alex saves Clear from an electric wire on the front of the car, therefore, he was caught on fire and died, ruining Death's design. After this, Clear and Carter both lived the rest of their lives in peace, meaning that the final survivors of Flight 180 actually defeated Death. It was not clear what Death would actually do if this situation happened, since these situations only happened in alternate endings.

It should be noted however that in Final Destination 3, it took five months after Ian's death for Train 081 to happen, meaning that in the alternate ending of Final Destination the reason Clear and Carter survived is because the scene showed could have been before five months passed or because Clear gave birth to a baby, as it was mentioned in Final Destination 2 that if someone who was supposed to die in an accident but survived gave birth, all the remaining survivors would live. William Bludworth himself said that "only new life defeats Death".

It should also be noted that Death can be somewhat confused. In The Final Destination, Nick's vision showed that Hunt and Janet would die at the same time. Death attempted to kill Janet three times. However, the first time, she saved herself, the second time Lori saved her, and the third time, Death was just too late. After this, Janet should have been the last, because she cheated death yet again. However, the order was slightly scrambled, and Janet died between George and Lori. However, it can also be assumed that Death created a new list involving George, Lori, Nick, and Janet.

Note: Death, in the Final Destination series, makes its presence known via dark silhouettes, distorted mirrors, or a huge gust of wind that comes as fast as it goes. These precede an attack where Death tries to kill you in a complex chain of events leading to a fatal freak accident. WATCH OUT!
