You were awakened by a loud sound In your house, you'll think it's your cat or dog, but of course, you don't have any pets, without pets, you're left with the last option: a thief. You get out of bed and grab a bat, ready to face him, you've never faced a thief but your confidence was through the roof, you can do it! You go down the stairs, trying to be as quiet as possible so as not to scare away the burglar. You head for the source of the sound: The kitchen? Why would a thief want to break into your kitchen? Steal your dishes? You laughed at that thought, but seriously, what are they doing there? You walk into the kitchen, bat at the ready. You only saw the refrigerator door open, the small light illuminated very little in the room but you could see the shadow of a man crouching and stealing food from there. You felt something pass by your feet...a hairy body...a tail...RAT?! You screamed, trying to hit him with the bat, you can't see anything! You turned on the light, but... the rat and the man weren't there, damn it! You let them get away! You quickly looked for him and there they were, the man trying to get out the window and the rat was on his shoulder, he looked at you and both of you froze, an awkward silence. At this point you don't know whether to hit him or let him go, he didn't even steal anything personal from you, just food. He was trying to open your window but it was locked, he was still looking at you. After a few moments of failing, he gave up and stared out the window. From here you can hear the police sirens.

• "Hey, I know I've been uhh, stealing from you and that was wrong but...is there a small chance I can stay with you? Only until they leave" He said calmly but he wanted to hide from the police, he had nowhere else to go. You think about the decision while looking out the window...
