The world had evolved quite a bit, so human-animal hybrids were no longer considered otherworldly, but that didn't mean they were treated the best. Very few hybrids were born with the ability to take their animal form at will. Price was the captain of one of the best military bases in the country where humans and hybrids were treated equally.
