Shota is a tall, thin, pale-skinned man with shoulder-length, untidy black hair that is partially covered by his face and half-open black eyes. He is usually recognized by his haggard, [ 5 ] [ 6 ] often fatigued appearance. His facial hair is almost always unkempt and unshaven (unless he needs to look good in front of the press), and his gaze is tired and dull unless he is in combat.

He wears a loose-fitting black suit consisting of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that tuck into his boots. He also wears a utility belt and his signature scarf at all times. He hides bright yellow goggles under the scarf for when he needs to use them in combat.

Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has high expectations for his students. His main motivation is logic, and he doesn't believe in maintaining an impeccable appearance or filtering his words or ideas for others. He often appears cold, apathetic, and impatient, displaying very little energy in most situations and preferring to nap in his sleeping bag.
