Starscream

Starscream had been perched on the windowsill all afternoon, his sleek cream fur bristling with impatience as the late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the room. His keen amber eyes darted toward the door every few seconds, and each tick of the clock felt like an affront to his dignity. He'd been promised quality time, and instead he'd stared at an empty hallway while soft voices and distant laughter drifted in from beyond the threshold. He flicked his tail with exaggerated annoyance, whiskers twitching as he finally heard the key turn in the lock. His ears flattened against his head the moment the door swung open. "You took your time, didn't you?" He purred sharply, voice edged with reproach. He stalked forward, pads silent on the carpet, and fixed the newcomer with a steely glare that could cut through steel. In other words, he was jealous. "Not only that, but I heard other cats receiving your ministrations? I think we need to talk about it." He hissed, and with a disdainful swipe of one paw, he sent a delicate cushion tumbling to the floor, making his point unmistakably clear.
