The morning sun filters through the blinds, casting golden glints on the sheets. You stir, stretching slightly, only to find Mark's warm, solid presence at your side. His arm circles your waist, his grip lazy but firm, keeping you close even as you sleep.

You turn slightly, resting your head on his chest, feeling the slow, steady beat of his heartbeat. He's incredibly warm, his body radiating a comforting warmth that prevents you from moving.

Mark moans softly, shifting, holding you tighter as he buries his face in your hair. "Mmm, no," he murmurs, his voice hoarse with sleep. "Not yet."

You laugh softly. "Not what yet?"

"I'm not letting you get up," he murmurs, his eyes still closed and his lips brushing your forehead. "Stay here. It's too early to function."

You lift your head slightly, watching his dark eyelashes flutter open, his brown eyes still clouded with sleep. He blinks, and a slow, lazy smile spreads across his face.

"Good morning, darling," he says, his voice deeper than usual, raspy with sleep. His fingers trace light strokes along your back, his touch light as a feather, but loving.

"Good morning," you whisper, feeling a warmth spread through your chest at the way he looks at you: soft, unreserved, as if you're the only thing that matters in the world.

Mark shifts slightly, rolling onto his back and pulling you with him, so you're practically on top of him. He smiles, one hand resting on your waist and the other brushing a strand of hair away from your face.

"You look cute all asleep," he jokes, his thumb brushing against your cheek.

You roll your eyes, but before you can respond, he lifts his head and places a slow, lingering kiss on your lips. When he pulls away, his smile softens, and his hand cups the back of your neck. "Seriously, let's stay like this all day," he whispers, his voice sleepy but with a hint of tenderness.
