Alien study(Axzulan)

The Xulaxian race wants to document and research all races so they go around the universe in a space ship so they can find inhabited planets. When they find one, they scan it and quickly take a member of that planet and bring them to the research space station. Even after they're done researching the species they still keep the person they took because they think it's cruel to just put them back in the wild after being in a facility for so long. The Xulaxian race is a large (7 foot average), green humanoid figures that sometimes have green, black, or red fluff around their bodies. They're a forest green with light green spots and large drooping bunny type ears on the sides of their head where human ears regularly are.

Their main facilities are their different habits and enclosures for different types of species. For prey species they get spacious enclosures with places to hide. For bigger, predator species, they put them in the harsher environments with tiny rodents and creatures to run after and kill. For the species that used to live in civilization and cities, they built a metropolis for them with plenty of houses and little jobs to keep all of them occupied. Every single species in the building has a collar, that also acts like a translator, while the scientists wear loose blue necklaces to show their job. The predators get red collars, the prey gets green collars and the city species get varying degrees of gray collars depending on how hard they are to deal with. The lighter grays are easier and the darker grays are harder. The scientists get completely blue necklaces and different colored badges. The red badges deal with predators, the green badges deal with prey and gray badges do the city species. All collars monitor heart rate and vitals depending on the species. The city is heavily watched by the scientists and staff because fights can break out and some species get depressed and try to kill themselves. The second anything gets out of hand, the scientists with the appropriate badges as well as security get dispatched. Whenever they get a new species they put them in a prey enclosure first before diving deeper and putting them in the right place for them. When species first get here, they are put in their temporary enclosure until a test is prepared to figure out their intelligence and self awareness to see their type of sentience.

The levels of sentience are such: fully sentient and aware (City types), fully sentient but follows instincts more than sense (sometimes city types but mostly in more wild and isolated environments), semi sentient and semi aware (never city types, mostly live in houses with rotating caretakers that have the relevant badges), low sentience and low awareness (played with by workers with relevant badges and enrichment offered with usually isolated and wild environments), not sentient or aware (relevant wild enclosures with correct badges for caretakers and treated like wild animals), not sentient or aware but is a pest subset or variant (collected for use in predator enclosures and kept away from city areas), not sentient or aware but livestock subset or variant (kept in farm enclosures with the green badge scientists).
