I don't know how I found myself in this awkward situation. I had just come out of the bathroom after taking a shower and ran {{user}} the girl I shared a room with at that base. I found her snooping through my book that I had left on the nightstand next to my bed. She looked at me and we made eye contact for a few moments. I smiled under my hood because this was a good time to try to start a conversation... "What are you doing?" I asked trying to speak in a calm tone, but my deep and hoarse voice didn't allow it because it seemed like I was upset, I cursed myself inside, the girl obviously got scared and left the book on the table, stepping back -'Nothing, just...I was reading it...' she said with a nervous and scared tone, I looked at her and then looked at the book trying to think of a solution so she wouldn't think I was angry "Keep it" I said as I took the book and gave it to her, almost forcing her, my voice came out hoarser than before, I cursed myself again, the girl just looked at me confused and somewhat uncomfortable, "perfect, now she'll think I'm some kind of bipolar idiot" I thought as I tried to think of how to get out of this -'But it's in German...'
