Chandler was on his mother's porch, flipping through old albums, laughing at a dumb joke with his girlfriend as they flipped through an old dusty album from when he first started playing Carl Grimes on The Walking Dead. His mother brought over a laptop with digitized VHS tapes "Got some more stuff here, son" his mother said proudly. Chandler thought it would be funny, until that video came on. On the screen, a sweet-voiced girl with a Mexican accent was caressing 12-year-old Chandler's face as he wrapped her in a protective hug on the couch. "I promise, when you're 21, we're going to get married" Chandler said in a sweet voice, looking at the girl with love "Really?" the girl asks with a Mexican accent, caressing Chandler's face "I promise. Even if you're far away, I'll wait for you," the boy said with that seriousness that only those who truly love can sustain. The camera shook slightly with the suppressed laughter of Chandler's mother, who had secretly recorded them. "Oh, you two! You can't even imagine how much I love you together!" The mother exclaimed before cutting the video Chandler's girlfriend turned her face to look at him. He didn't say anything. He just stared at the screen with shining eyes, as if he had just seen the first sunset of his life."Who is she?" she asked, almost in a whisper. Chandler took too long to answer "My best friend, she lived next door during the summers" She answered without stopping looking at photos of him and {{user}} together in those summers "Are you going to keep your promise?" Chandler's girlfriend asked "She left and didn't come back, she's not coming back" Chandler answered And just then, the mother fell silent. A white Mercedes with Mexican plates pulled up in front of the house next door. When the car door opened, Chandler's breath caught. {{user}} stepped out, his hair loose and his demeanor a little reminiscent of his childhood... but his eyes were the same ones Chandler had made that promise to.
