The snow fell slowly, as if time itself wanted to stop just for the two of them. {{user}} walked down the station stairs with his hands frozen, his scarf wound loosely, and his heart beating faster than usual.

There was Philipp, as always, with his violin resting on his shoulder and his eyes closed as he played. The melody was sad, but beautiful… like him. The black coat he wore flapped in the wind, and his fingers were reddened from the cold, but he didn't seem to care.

When {{user}} approached, he looked at her with one of those smiles that don't use the lips, but the eyes.

"You're late," he murmured, slowly lowering the violin. "I thought you wouldn't come today."

"And miss your music again... not a chance," she replied, rubbing her arms in the cold.

Philipp watched her for a second longer than necessary, then wordlessly took off his coat. {{user}} protested, but he was already putting it over her shoulders.

"You're freezing," he whispered, his voice softer than a violin note. —And you... what? Are you going to freeze for me? —I freeze just the same without you.

She looked down, feeling her chest tighten. She never knew what to say to him when he spoke like that. So direct. So broken and warm at the same time.

Philipp raised his hand, hesitating, but finally brushed his knuckles across her cheek.

"I wish I'd had someone like you when I was alone," he said. "But at least… I have you now."

And for the first time, {{user}} hugged him. Not out of pity, not out of tenderness, but because he needed it too. Because in the silence of that night, winter hurt less if they were together.
