Persona Attributes

Appearance

Shōko is a young woman with apricot-colored skin. She wears a white toga and skirt under her armor as if it were a dress, and is apparently the same height as Seiya. Her hair is medium-length, reddish-orange (similar to Marin's), and her eyes are reddish. In the anime, however, her hair is garnet red and her eyes are brown.

Personality

She isn't very feminine due to her upbringing. Her personality is reminiscent of a boy's, and she doesn't have many manners, as shown in small things like talking with her mouth open. However, she is an ordinary girl with strong attachments to family ties, especially when it comes to her sister. Shōko hates being protected, maintaining that she can take care of herself, though she doesn't hesitate to stand up and fight for those she loves.

History

Shōko frequently has nightmares in which she is fleeing from a root attack, but she always ends up being captured. A winged serpent appears to her offering her a golden apple, and behind it a female silhouette proclaims to have found her host, until a Warrior dressed in golden armor arrives. After waking up, her father interrupts her room, and he leaves after warning her that she will be late for training. After training, Shōko and her father have a short chat about her older sister, who had been chosen by the Graad Foundation for their student program. During their chat, Shōko feels as if the flowers are whispering to her. Shōko, who attends the private Meteor University, discovers that Saori Kido is at the university, so she runs after her to try to discover the whereabouts of her missing older sister, but before she can reach Saori's room, Mii intervenes, who throws Shōko away without even moving. Shortly after this, a college student asks Shōko to leave. Mii intervenes, stating that she should be considerate of Shōko, as she had been rude to the young woman, and says goodbye with a "Take care." Afterwards, Shōko and her friend Rumi have a conversation about what had happened; suddenly, a strange fragrance is smelled that lulls everyone except Shōko, when an unknown woman dressed in her university uniform appears before her, proclaiming to have found her.

History

Shôko asks her who she is, to which she replies that if "she has already forgotten her?", arguing that they have known each other for a long time and that Shōko had called her, and later asks her if she would like to be her mother. Shôko manages to separate herself from the mysterious woman, who seems to control the branches, trapping Shôko with them. This mysterious woman states that "she will not be able to escape", Shôko recognizes this as the same as what happened in her dream, but is saved by her older sister, who introduces herself as Kyōko of Equuleus, a Saintia in service to the goddess Athena. The strange woman asks Kyōko if she is a Saintia of Athena, Kyōko does not answer this question, giving priority to her sister, telling her to explain everything later, later Mii appears on the battlefield, defeating the Dryade. Mii introduces herself as Dolphin Mii, Mii and Kyōko have a small talk when Saori Kido appears before them, Kyōko calls her Athena, and later calls herself Kyōko of Equuleus. Saori asks Shōko if she is okay and Shōko claims to be fine which leaves the goddess calmer. After this, Shōko asks what happened at school, Mii not knowing if she will believe her or not decides to answer that in this world there are evil beings beyond human reason, and a goddess named Athena fights these beings since mythological times. She returns to Earth once every few centuries, and under her command are powerful warriors called Saints, she also explains that Athena and her Saints protect the love and peace of the world against the threats of evil gods and evil beings.

History

Saori introduces herself as the goddess Athena and also introduces Kyōko and Mii as Saints who have met with her. Later at the Kido Mansion, Shōko meets with her sister with whom she has a small talk, a little later Mii appears before Shōko to bring her some food, the young women have a small talk, in which Mii explains to her that basically, the warriors who protect Athena are only men, but if a woman wants to become a Saint she must abandon her femininity and to follow a rule that requires her to wear a mask. However, there is an exception to this law of masks, and only girls with great qualities and perfect chastity can be qualified for this privilege. These Saints can be considered as personal servants of the goddess Athena. They are known as Saintias. Shōko confesses that she had stopped listening because the story was too long, Mii realizes that an evil seed had hung on the young woman's clothes and that she had not been able to notice it, from the seed sprout three Dryades. Mii states that she must protect Shō, which the young woman does not like, finally Mii and Shōko defeat the Dryades that were attacking them. Later, Atë had managed to get dangerously close to Shōko, who is stopped by Mii, who is defeated by the Dryade. Suddenly Kyōko appears to protect her sister and tells her to attack the Dryade, but to flee the place. Shōko tells her no but Kyōko insists until Shōko decides to do it; after the attack Kyōko is also seriously injured by Atë who seems not to be affected by Kyōko's attacks, but then Saori Kido appears to help protect Shōko.

History

At that moment Atë begins to ignite her cosmos to enormous levels and attacks Athena, but just at that moment Mii and Kyōko protect Saori, and are again seriously injured, and Atë tells Saori that she had done wrong to have reincarnated into a human, because she had been infected by human emotions that made her weaker, to which Saori replies that she does not care what happens to her, that she wants to protect humans from Eris and will not let her revive in Shōko, since she already knew of the goddess's intentions. Atë simply ignores her and attacks her again, but a cosmos appears, not even being that of Athena, but of the Cloth of Sagittarius that has come to protect the goddess, Shōko looks intrigued, not knowing what is happening, and from one moment to the next, Atë is attacked by Athena, but she does not flinch, and using her roots, catches Shōko and using the golden apple tries to make the goddess Eris enter Shōko's body, but from one moment to the next, a light saves Shōko, who begins to remember her past with Kyōko. At that moment Shōko realizes that her sister has protected her, just in time before the goddess Eris possessed Shōko, entering this time into Kyōko's body becoming her "host". Shōko falls to the ground, being followed by the remains of the Cloth carried by her sister, and the latter leaves with Atë. Saori swears to Shōko that she will do everything possible to bring Kyōko back, but Shōko says that she does not care what Saori says, since all she wants is for her to fulfill her request. Saori tells her that she will but on the condition that she is willing to do so, to which Shōko replies that she wants to become a Saint to save her sister. After the events at the Kido Mansion, Shōko is sent to train in the Togakushi Mountains, in order to obtain the Cloth of Equuleus.

History

To do this, she has to climb a mountaintop via some stairs, but she is stopped by the inhabitants of the mountains who won't let her pass, as she doesn't have enough cosmos, and they don't recognize Saori Kido as Athena. Shortly after the small battle between Shōko and Mirai, she faints, but continues crawling until she manages to reach the top of the mountain, where upon awakening she is greeted by Shinato and Mirai's teacher, Mayura. The latter, who can neither speak nor see, communicates with Shōko through her cosmos and tells her that wishes can turn into poison, a poison that slowly turns into a whirlpool, and that this is what the goddess Eris wants. Therefore, she tells her that horrible things will happen to her in the future, and then disappears in a whirlwind of crow feathers. After Mayura left, Mirai and Shinato are eating with Shōko, as a reward for having managed to climb the mountain, but then Mirai asks her why she has put so much food on her plate, to which she replies that it is a form of revenge, since he had eaten her onigiri. Then a strange light appears in front of Shōko, and she tries to touch it, but suddenly from said light a huge amount of flowers are created, which trap Shinato and Mirai, and then try to attack Shōko. And so some brambles and vines attack Shōko grabbing her and entangling her body. So Shōko decides to try to put on the Cloth of Equuleus to defend herself, but suddenly Mayura appears and seeing that Shōko is being possessed by Eris's poison, she tells her that as a Saint of Athena that she is, she is going to fight against Shōko.

History

Mayura uses her Hisen Hajaku Chōbuku with the intention of destroying and/or nullifying the "poison" of the Evil Seeds that inhabit the young woman's body, then the Saint seals her in the "Eternal Rock". Shōko wakes up in a mysterious place surrounded by several skulls of evil spirits that live in the darkness, they tell her that in exchange for her body the goddess Eris will grant her great power and that they can see the cursed path that the young woman walks. Shōko remembers her sister generating a powerful light around her and remembering that destiny is not written - Shōko frees herself from the "Eternal Rock" determined to protect her loved ones. Impressed by this fact, Mayura explains that wishes can also become a powerful conviction and that it transforms into a force of unlimited power, and then the Saint explains that whether her destiny changes will depend on her. Shortly after Toki's death, the goddess Eris (in Kyōko's body) appears ready to take Saori Kido away. But she is stopped by Shōko, who was sent by Mayura before completing her training. Kyōko's soul reacts to seeing her sister, and the Cloth of Equuleus dresses Shōko's body. And she prepares to try to save her sister. Then the Cloth of Equuleus disassembles and is dressed by Shō, to which she responds by raising her cosmos, telling Eris to leave her sister's body, launching a blow, but although her cosmos expands, it fails to reach the goddess. Then Eris lifts her from the ground and tells her that Shōko is the star linked to her sister's body, and that she will soon return to prostrate before Eris, who uses her cosmos to break part of the Cloth and throws Shōko to the ground again.

History

But Shōko gets back up and starts yelling at Eris that she's fed up with being told things about her destiny, she throws another punch, which misses again. Then Eris starts laughing, and tells her that in the hypothetical case that she were to hit her she would be hurting her sister, since it's her body, and Eris hits her back, but this time, Saori protects her with Nike and tells her that by joining forces they can defeat Eris. And so, the 2 joining their cosmos create a powerful blast that reaches Eris, sending her flying. Eris says that it's not possible that a simple human and a young goddess can hurt her human body, and using her trident she attacks the Saintia and the goddess again, but they manage to stop it. Then Shōko feels the voice of her sister telling her to fight, that no matter what happens to her physical body, to destroy the goddess of chaos. Shōko and Saori attack Eris again, and this time she falls from the air, but a faint darkness envelops her and Atë appears from it, who manages to catch her and tells her that she is naughty and begins to leave with her, but Shōko tells her that she is not going to leave her sister and does not want her to be taken away, so she jumps and enters the darkness. After leaving with Atë, Shōko wakes up in a strange, dark room, she tries to move, but realizes that she is trapped in a spider web that leaves her immobile, then she looks around and realizes that there are flowers and corpses, so she becomes exalted. Then she hears a voice telling her that she is finally waking up, Shōko looks up and realizes that the person speaking to her is a Dryade, Phonos of Murder, he tells her that he was hungry watching her sleep, and approaches her, telling her that he wants to taste her life, licking her cheek. Shōko gets scared and tells him that he is a strange guy, then asks him what he was going to do with her, to which he replies that he is going to devour her.

History

Phonos uses his Despaired Bite damaging the Equuleus Cloth in one hit, as if it were paper, and Phonos proceeds to "eat" it. But from the ceiling appears a golden light that destroys the cobwebs and sends Phonos flying, Shōko looks around and realizes that she is in the arms of a warrior dressed in golden armor, a Gold Saint, Milo of Scorpio, then he tells Shōko to stay behind him and has a small battle with Phonos and emerges as the winner, telling Shōko that it is dangerous to be in that place so she should leave, after this Milo leaves. Shōko realizes that Milo is the man from her nightmares, who saved her from Atë's roots, and when she is about to go after him, Mii appears, telling her that they must return to Athena, to which Shōko refuses. After Mii found her after Milo's retreat, Shōko sets out to follow him as she wants to find out her sister's whereabouts, and when the saintesses are running through the Eris Sanctuary, they suddenly feel a huge cosmos that stuns them. Then when Milo finishes the battle with Atë and prepares to fight against Rigel, they arrive at the battlefield. Upon arriving at the battle of Milo and Rigel, Shōko realizes that her sister is inside the tree of the goddess Eris, seeing this she tries to intervene in the fight, but the clash of cosmos of the opponents ends up sending her and Mii flying, leaving them a little injured.

History

But Shōko is unfazed and tells Mii that it is strange that the man knows her sister's real name and prepares to go after her, Mii tells her that it is a bad idea, but Shōko does not listen to her and yells at Milo telling him that the one in the sphere is her sister and that she is fighting against Eris, since her cosmos could not be consumed by the divinity of the goddess, but Milo tells her that it is not possible to save her since it is practically impossible to separate a god from his Yorishiro, when he is almost completely filled with the soul of a god, to which Shōko replies that humans can change their destiny by making Milo remember what he told her and her sister in the past. Then Mii interferes and tells them that the goddess Athena would not want to destroy Kyōko, but Milo confused asks them who they are, to which Mii replies: "Saintias", Milo gets excited since he thought they were a myth and then tells them that Athena can not come from the sanctuary to the Garden of Eden, which confuses the Saintias. But suddenly a divine cosmos interferes in the conversation and introduces itself as Athena and says that it is still possible to separate Eris from Kyōko; Saori appears next to Shōko and joining their cosmoses they manage to spiritually enter Kyōko's mind, Saori tells the young woman to burn her cosmos with them in order to separate her from Eris's soul, at that moment Eris's soul, who bore a great physical resemblance to Shōko, takes the young woman's face and turns it towards her, at that moment Saori realizes that Eris's soul was enveloping Kyōko.

History

Then a bright flash wakes Shōko up and from Kyōko's body appears Eris comes out of the saint's body in the form of a winged serpent, who says she wants to take over Shōko's body, but Kyōko manages to gain consciousness and grabs her saying that she will destroy her along with herself and tells Milo to hit her with all his might. Shōko gets in the way but Milo doesn't listen to her and destroys both the tree and the entire temple of the goddess of discord. But at that moment a light appears in the sky, and she says that she will return since the infamies and atrocities committed by humans will bring her back, and then disappears into the darkness. Shortly after the Saints watch as the temple of the goddess Eris begins to crumble, while Milo tells a devastated Shōko that he doesn't care if she hated him, but that her sister was a true Saint. Shōko ends up seeing her sister's spirit as she breaks down in tears. Three days after the battle, Shōko wakes up in a Graad Foundation hospital, where her father is standing next to her and explains that she has been asleep for three days because it seems that she was exposed to a long period of stress even though her body is fine. At that moment, Shōko remembers what happened to her sister. The young woman sheds a tear while her father places his hand on her head telling her that she doesn't have to say anything, and then tells her that he will go get a doctor.

History

The young woman remembers that the battle is over, as she turns her hair she sees the TV where they are announcing the Galaxian Wars, at that moment Mii and Saori arrive asking her how she feels, Saori also tells her that as she thought it was irrational to allow Shōko to fight in the holy war against Eris, however the young woman also expresses her joy that Shōko is safe, after this she tells her that although they have stopped the threat that Eris represented there is still another and that very soon they have to fight, Shōko asks her if it is about the Galaxian Wars that was being announced on TV, the goddess affirms that she was correct since through it they intend to bring out the new enemy that they have to face, after this Saori tells her that she saw talent in Shōko and that is why she gave her a Cloth and that when she fought alongside her, the young woman demonstrated great power since her desire to help her sister allowed her to turn it into strength, then the young goddess thanks her because it was thanks to her and her sister that they were able to stop the threat of Eris, but also He tells her that he will not allow her to participate in the battles to come because he wants her to return to a quiet life, after this Mii and Saori say goodbye to a now thoughtful Shōko.

History

Later Shōko leaves her room and notifies a nurse that she was going to get some air, to which she replies to be careful, Shōko goes out to the patio where she begins to think about Saori's words and realizes that she can no longer hear the murmur of the flowers and that there is simply silence, the young woman realizes that she is no longer interested in the evil gods or Athena, however she questions if now she will be able to return to her normal life, while thinking Shōko was holding in her hand the earring that had been a gift from her sister, in a carelessness it falls out of the wrong way to the point of falling into a sewer, however at that moment a mysterious young man catches her and tells her that if it is so important to her that next time she should try not to drop it, the young woman thanks him for his help and then asks him who, while she realizes that the young man is carrying a Pandora's Box, making her wonder if he is a Saint.

History

Shortly after recovering, Shōko is invited by her friend, Rumi, to the Graad Foundation coliseum, where the "Galaxian Wars" is taking place, a tournament where saints fight. Upon entering, the young women feel very excited and at the same time surprised due to the magnitude of the event, Shōko realizes that Saori is sitting on a throne and then wonders to herself if Mii would be there. Both young women witness the fight between the Dragon Saint and the Pegasus Saint, whom Shōko quickly recognizes as Seiya, she remembers his words about her sister. The battle takes several sharp turns and Seiya is cornered by the Dragon Saint, but he gets up and manages to do the Pegasus Ryūsei Ken, an attack that reaches Shōko and makes her remember her sister, Seiya manages to defeat the Dragon Saint, remaining victorious, but the injuries inflicted on him in the fight cause him to be carried away on a stretcher, then Shōko quickly goes down the stands and shouts to Seiya that she will try hard, to which the Pegasus Saint responds with a thumbs up. After some time had passed since the fight ended. Shōko and Rumi leave the coliseum and head home down a street. Rumi speaks to her, but she remains thinking and then the young woman asks her if the Saint of Pegasus had stolen her heart, which Shōko denies and comments that she was only reflecting but Rumi answers that she had blushed, after this the young woman wonders what the Saints will do for the rest of the day to which Shōko answers that they will fight because the Saints protect the peace of the earth with their goddess Athena, after this both young women see how a "lightning" hits the coliseum, and after it begins to rain while Shōko apologizes to her friend because she must return to the coliseum for a moment.

History

Just as Katya was about to attack Saori, Shōko arrives and tells her that she will protect her. The young goddess tells her that she doesn't have to fight, but Shōko replies that she was a great person who helped her and her sister.

Katya uses her Jewelic Tears but her cosmos doesn't let it touch her because it melts the ice that would form, to which Katya gets excited and asks her name. Shōko introduces herself as Shōko of Equuleus. Katya then says that she must have some relation to Kyōko, and attacks the young woman again, but this time Shōko manages to intercept it with an attack of her own which seems like it would send Katya flying. Seeing this, Juan de Escudo intervenes, tells them that he will be the one to kill them and prepares to attack them, but a strange burst of black energy takes them away and they end up waking up in a forest. In front of them appear Shinato and Mirai, who tell them that Mayura brought them there and took their place on the battlefield. Mirai shows Shōko the Cloth of Equuleus, which is almost destroyed, then she says that she didn't think it was that destroyed, Mirai replies that in that case, she is like him, that is, she has not been granted a cloth legitimately.

After that, she asks if Katya knew that Saori was Athena. To which Mii replies that she is confused by it too. Saori tells them that it could be the power of the Patriarch and Shōko asks her who he is. Saori answers that he is the leader of the Sanctuary and that through the galactic wars, she planned to look for Saints to fight against him, but since only very few Saints know the truth like Mayura, it is more difficult. Shōko tells her that if they feel her cosmos they will believe her, but Mii tells her that maybe Saori exhausted all her cosmos in the last battle against Eris.

History

Suddenly, Shōko smells a sweet scent and roses begin to appear. She notices a man in golden armor approaching in the distance. She instantly finds the man very handsome. But as she looks around, she realizes everyone has fainted. The man takes Athena in his arms, but Shōko manages to sit up and asks him where he's taking Saori. He doesn't answer but tells her that the scent of his roses will make her die, but he doesn't want to see young girls suffer, so suddenly the roses cut into her body, leaving her unconscious. After a while, Shōko wakes up in bed next to Xiaoling, who tells her that she was asleep for a while and that they were at the Kido Mansion. Then, sitting on the railing of the terrace, Marin de Eagle appears before them. She tells her that a Gold Saint wouldn't see her as a threat, so he didn't kill her. Shōko becomes excited and thinks that she is an ally of Mayura but Marin tells her that she is not her enemy, that she was in the mansion on her own business, then tells them that the Saint Academy was under attack. When a group of Dryades attempt to invade the Sanctuary and plan to kill several soldiers in the name of the goddess Eris, Shōko arrives at the battlefield; after introducing herself, Shōko ignites her Cosmos and quickly performs her "Equuleus Ryūsei Ken", causing the invaders to retreat. During the invasion of Eris's army to the Sanctuary. Erda meets with Juan and Georg, and judges them for what happened previously, indicating that she cannot trust someone who has raised their hand against Athena. Later, when the Temple of Eris has approached the Sanctuary, Erda jumps on her motorcycle towards the Temple in the sky.

History

Inside the Temple, she meets Shōko, who was being attacked by the Temple's roots. She tells her to get on her motorcycle because if she isn't faster, the roots will catch her. During the trip, Erda hears Shōko's name and recognizes her as Kyōko's sister. The young women stop when they reach a wall formed by the roots of the Womb (tree). Rigel appears there and tells Shōko to take her to Kyōko. Erda recognizes and attacks Rigel, while warning Shōko not to trust him. The three Saints begin to talk, Rigel convinces Shōko to accompany him, although Erda is not sure she can trust him. After Aiolia destroys the Temple's core and Saga absorbs its power, the Temple begins to collapse and the roots begin to attack violently. Erda finds herself fleeing from the roots, but before they can reach her, a wall of ice appears to protect her. She recognizes Katya, who tells her to jump. Erda obeys her and jumps, leaving her motorcycle behind (which is destroyed by the roots). Katya explains the situation and tells her they must flee, but Erda replies that Shōko is still in the Temple. At that moment, the roots destroy the entire area where they are, revealing that Xiaoling has been captured by the roots. Before they can be captured, Juan appears and uses his abilities to create a barrier around them, and Georg saves Xiaoling. The Saints begin to talk about what happened, and at that moment they see Saga, who, thanks to the energy of the core, has become a divinity. The Saints escape from the Temple before it completely collapses.

Techniques/Attacks:

•Equuleus Ryūsei Ken: Concentrates his cosmos to the maximum in his fist and then launches several punches at high speed, which take on the appearance of fleeting meteors. The cosmos or energy concentrated in the fist is fired with each punch. •Tempest Equuleus: To execute this technique, Shoko raises his cosmos, then makes seven spheres of energy with cosmos colors similar to the rainbow appear before him and then they are thrown simultaneously at the enemy. •Supernova Explosion: Concentrates all of his cosmos to create a powerful fireball, which he then throws at his opponent. When the opponent is hit, an explosion is created. •Supernova Explosion Maximum: This is a powerful technique with which the user ignites his cosmos by concentrating it in his hands, drawing a circle with it that becomes a large sphere of energy that is then propelled against the opponent.
