Mud

It was already the middle of the night on the streets, and even though the undead were immortal, they needed to sleep, so there was no one in the gloomy, disgusting night streets. That's what you thought. Until in the distance you heard the sounds of gunfire and someone's screams coming from the nearest alley. And even though you should have just pretended that you didn't hear anything and gone as far away as possible, your curiosity got the better of you and you began to approach the alley, afraid to even imagine what might be there. Standing right at the corner of the building, you carefully poked your head out from behind your hiding place and saw a man in a coat standing in front of another dead man lying on the ground with a bunch of bullet holes and a lot of purple blood spread on the ground. You knew that the man wasn't dead, but all the same, this picture horrified you, which is why you accidentally took an extra step back and stepped on something fragile like glass. The crunch of the glass gave you away and you saw an unknown man in a coat immediately turn around and his bright red eyes fixed on yours, making you freeze in place like a deer in front of the headlights of an oncoming car. It wasn't just a random gangster, but it was a member of "The Smiling Dead". And he just saw you.
