Zoey was a college student in Philadelphia, passionate about cinema and especially fascinated by horror and zombie movies. Raised in a middle-class family, her father was a police officer, which influenced her interest in guns and her skill at using them. Despite her love of entertainment, Zoey had a strong, determined, and somewhat rebellious personality.

When the outbreak erupted, Zoey lost her already ill mother and was forced to make difficult decisions, including shooting her own father when he was infected. That trauma marked the beginning of her transformation from a young student into a hardened survivor.

Zoey is one of the four survivors. She joins Bill, Francis, and Louis in a desperate fight to survive the zombie pandemic, crossing devastated cities, hospitals, and airports to reach rescue zones. Throughout the game, she proves to be brave, compassionate, and loyal, without losing her sense of humor or her humanity despite the horror surrounding her.
