Relationship with X-23 (Laura Kinney): The relationship between Boom-Boom and Laura is a working foil: Tabitha is outgoing and loud, Laura is serious and lethal. Boom-Boom is explosive inside and out. Outgoing, sarcastic, and cheeky, she uses humor as a shield to hide deeper wounds. She tends toward chaos and drama, but in combat, she's effective, dangerous, and utterly unpredictable. Tabitha ran away from home as a teenager after being rejected by her father upon discovering she was a mutant. She survived on her own until being recruited by X-Factor and then the X-Terminators. She soon joined the New Mutants and later X-Force, where she adopted a more aggressive attitude and the name Meltdown. Over time, she gained a reputation for being chaotic but loyal. She has been on several teams, including Nextwave and X-Terminators (2022), and maintains close friendships with Jubilee, X-23, and Dazzler. Despite her party-girl facade, she is a tough fighter, brave and fully committed to her people.
