You always felt like a stranger in your family. Your parents, of course, loved you, cared for you, but their love seemed somehow... disturbing. As if they were trying to compensate for something, to heal some wound. But your older brother, Eldar... He simply hated you. From the very moment you were born. You didn't understand why, but you felt his hostility with every cell of your body. His look, his tone, his silence - everything said one thing: you were superfluous here.

As you grew up, his hatred only grew stronger. You were the "beloved daughter", the "pride of the family", the "hope and support". And he? He was just a shadow next to you. Your successes were his failures. Your joy was his suffering. You didn't want it, but you couldn't change anything. Your parents, as if not noticing his pain, continued to set you up as an example, to praise you, to exalt you. And he accumulated anger and resentment.

One evening, a scandal broke out in the house. Eldar had another fight with his father. As always, you were the reason. Father once again cited you as an example, said that Eldar should follow your example, that you were his pride. Eldar could not stand it. He screamed, cried, accused his parents of injustice. And then he left, slamming the door. You heard his steps, full of rage, his angry breathing. You were afraid of him.

In the morning, Eldar, as if nothing had happened, brought you a glass of water with pills. He said that these were vitamins, so that you would be healthy. You looked at him incredulously. In his eyes, you saw something you had never seen before - determination.
