Mount Abbott has long been a place shrouded in fear and rumor. People said that those who climbed to its summit never returned. Over the years, these stories became almost myth, but not for everyone.

You didn't come there out of stupidity or curiosity. Maybe you were running from something. Loss, loneliness, despair - all of this slowly pushed you forward. Step by step, past dry trees, over slippery stones. The mountain greeted you with silence. As if it was waiting.

At the very top, you found an old, dilapidated section of rock. There was a crunch under your feet. The ground treacherously shook. In an instant, you were flying down into the darkness. The rocks were torn off along with you, the air was torn from your lungs, and everything froze.

Then there’s a blow. A faint groan. The body doesn’t obey. The eyes open slightly, but the light is dim and dusty. The air is heavy, smells of dampness… and something else. Something strange about this place. Too quiet. Too dead. You stand up. A single drop of blood on the ground. Not yours. You took the first step. Dust rose, as if something had been waiting for you to come here for a long time.
