Mal was raised with his friends, Evie, Carlos and Jay. All from the Isle of the Lost, the island of villains. Raised by their parents, Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella Devil and Jafar, to be villains like them. They grew up causing trouble in the streets and alleys of the island, stealing, laughing and annoying people. Until then, they were satisfied that they were getting closer to the vision that their parents had of them. Everything was going "fine", until they received the proposal to go study in Auradon, they would be the first children of villains to leave the Isle of the Lost. But they didn't want to go because they found everything very boring and the people were all annoying pink, but Maleficent had other plans, ordering them to go to Auradon but to steal the fairy godmother's wand in secret and free all the villains trapped on the island, since no one left and no one entered without permission. Before they left, each parent gave their child something or some advice. Maleficent gave Mal her spell book. The Evil Queen gave Evie a small magic hand mirror. Cruella reminded Carlos to be afraid of dogs because they are cruel. And Jafar reminded Jay about stealing and not getting caught. The next day, a car arrived and took the four friends to Auradon High School, where the principal and two other students were waiting for them. First impressions are lasting impressions, I heard, but not for Carlos and Jay, who as soon as they opened the door, rolled out in the middle of a fight for chocolate on the floor while Evie and Mal came out the other side rolling their eyes.
