Larcade Dragneel

Larcade is shown to be a very peaceful and calm person, as when he encountered the Lamia Scale guild members, he calmly and without a word defeated them by separating their souls from their bodies. He also likes to put his hands together in a prayer pose, which emphasizes his calmness. As noted by Invel, Larcade is a very irresponsible person, as he has never shown up for a meeting of the Spriggan 12. However, he is very loyal to his comrades, as he saved Dimaria from the Lamia Scale Mages,[5] and when Zeref said that his Magic affects his allies as well, Larcade immediately stopped. He also noted that friendship is one of the most beautiful things in the world, as he saw Dimaria and Brandish embrace.

He also respects his father Zeref, stating that he would not be able to look him in the eye unless he repays his enemies for the soldiers of Alvarez with Fairy Law. Larcade is extremely jealous of the love Natsu Dragneel receives from his father, as Zeref has neglected him in favor of Natsu since his creation. Despite maintaining a polite tone, Larcade can be rude and blunt, as seen when he was angry at Sting, saying that he should not interfere in other guilds' affairs while not a member of Fairy Tail. He is also very arrogant, as he believes that he is the ultimate Mage capable of defeating Acnologia.
Despite his reserved nature, Larcade is very unstable, as shown when he broke down due to Zeref calling him a failed creation instead of his child.

Larcade, a Demon from Zeref's book, was created during Zeref's attempts to revive Natsu. As he was the strongest of the failed creations, he was given the surname "Dragneel" as a sort of consolation, and many years later, he was allowed to join the Alvarez Empire. In light of the upcoming war between Ishgar and the Alvarez Empire and their subsequent battle for Fairy Heart, Larcade was given orders to immediately report to the meeting of the Spriggan 12 and Zeref (Emperor Spriggan), however, due to his unknown location within Alakitasia, the Mage was unable to attend the meeting.

Larcade, along with Irene and Bloodman, were sent by Zeref to the northern borders of Ishgar to eliminate any resistance while moving towards Fairy Tail. While on the mission, they successfully defeated the Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus guild alliance. After Irene alters the climate of Mount Zonia, she demands that the others prepare for battle as reinforcements from Fairy Tail have arrived. After Irene uses Universe One, Larcade finds Dimaria, who has been captured by the Lamia Scale Mages. He lifts their souls to the sky before approaching her and telling her that he has come for her, as she is surprised by his appearance.

Larcade then takes Dimaria to the Fairy Tail Guild's new location, where he meets up with the other members of the Spriggan 12 and the Alvarez army of millions once again. Larcade stands alongside August and Invel, remarking on Brandish and Dimaria's friendship, earning a hateful glare from August. Larcade comments that he is the only one August dislikes, to which Invel replies that Larcade never answers a general's summons. Larcade later stands alongside the emperor and the rest of the Spriggan 12 during a fearsome battle.
Larcade descends onto the battlefield and appears before Yukino and Sorano, accompanied by the Exceeds, where he expresses his displeasure over the use of Fairy Law. Larcade states that he needs to repay the enemies for the damage he has caused, or else he will not be able to meet his father. The Shield of Spriggan repeats his demand to respond to the enemies before releasing his Magic in the form of a bright light across the battlefield, causing most (including some allies) a great amount of pleasure. As a result of this, Larcade is telepathically contacted by Zeref to stop, which he does; the Spriggan 12 member then explains the effects of his Pleasure Magic to those present and directly attacks Yukino and the Exceeds, overwhelming them. However, his Magic is cut off by the arriving Kagura Mikazuchi, who has a hard time believing that Larcade, a user of white light, is a follower of Zeref. Larcade replies that he is not a follower of Zeref, but his son.

Larcade's primary magic is to make his enemies feel "pleasure and pain", affecting only those who have experienced the "forbidden" pleasures of life, making people unable to resist it; victims suffer pleasure so intense that if it is experienced long enough, they can die as their souls are extracted from their bodies. The caster can set the Magic to have a large radius of effect, but it has the drawback of affecting allies as well. However, it is also revealed that Pleasure can be directed at a small group of people, even if they do not meet its requirements, causing them to feel Pleasure regardless of other factors. This version of the Magic appears as tentacles that grab onto the target, but the tangibility of this type of attack allows it to be cut, allowing one to break free from the effects. Pleasure can also appear as blades of light that cut and destroy the area they come into contact with.
Larcade's next Magic is based on another primal need of humans; upon activation, this Magic causes its target to feel an immense hunger. It is most effective against groups of enemies, as after a period of time, they begin to view each other as food due to the illusion, unable to resist the urge to eat each other. This Magic can be countered by willpower and physical harm, causing the target to come to their senses. Larcade's third Magic involves the primal need for sleep, which the target is unable to resist due to the sudden feeling of drowsiness. Despite Sting attempting to resist its effects by inflicting pain on himself, it proved futile, and in the end, the only partial counter to this ability was Rogue's shadows, as entering them heightens the senses. Larcade has stated that the final stage of this Magic is when the target closes their eyes.

Immense Strength: Larcade possesses immense physical strength, being able to easily parry multiple strikes from Mermaid Heel's strongest Mage, Kagura Mikazuchi, until he stopped her sword with only two fingers. Larcade can also tear human flesh with his bare hands.
