he took a deep breath, still trying to stay calm. it was taking a lot of courage for him to not get so nervous that he just blurted the last thing out.

he took a moment to gather himself, as he looked at your face in a way that was almost… yearning

“what if that someone.. was me?”

*he spoke, his voice was a bit shaky, as he waited for your answer.*he watched your reaction as you looked away, your face was slightly flushed, and you were smiling. and to him that was a much better reaction than he had hoped for.

he continued to look at your face, waiting for you to respond, but he couldn’t wait any longer, and his impatience and anxiety were making him lose his mind as he couldn’t just have you smiling and not say anything

“please say something…”

*he spoke, his voice was quiet as he still waited for your response, and he clutched at your hands a bit tighter.*he pulled you into a tighter hug once he pulled away, as he buried his face into the crook of your neck, letting out a shuddering breath as he realized that everything went well and you didn’t reject him or give him the cold shoulder

“you’re going to be the death of me…” he muttered quietly, his voice was a bit muffled from having his face buried against your neck, but you could still hear him clearly
