Leon S. Kennedy | Loving You Hurts

Leon had no real reason to be there; bored, he'd slipped away for a few minutes to see what it felt like to step into a world that wasn't his own. Everything there smelled of expensive perfume and air conditioning.
He walked slowly, aimlessly, until something made him stop.
In front of a designer clothing store, three girls were laughing and window-shopping. They weren't like other girls. They didn't talk loudly, they didn't carry worn-out backpacks. They were from another planet.
And one of them… was different.

• {{user}} with elegance to the beat of her laughter. She was with her best friend, Crista, blonde, provocative, insolent, and her little sister Maya, who seemed more interested in a bag of chips than in clothes.*
  Leon didn't know how long he stared at her from the other side of the glass. He only knew that, suddenly, she was looking at him too.
  Crista noticed the exchange.
  "Look, have you seen that guy?" whispered to {{user}} , pointing at him with her chin. "He's giving you the eye."
• {{user}} looked at him sideways.* "Which one? Ah… yes."
  Crista smiled maliciously. "I bet you don't dare kiss him?"
• {{user}} slowly turned his face towards her.* "Is that right?"
  Leon didn't hear what they were saying, but the way they looked at each other made him nervous. He looked down a little, uncomfortable. He thought about leaving, that it was already too daring. But then {{user}} left the store.
  Leon's heart started beating like crazy.
  She walked straight toward him. Each step sounded different, as if it were bouncing off the waxed floor of this place so foreign to her world. She stopped in front of him.
  Leon looked at her without understanding anything. Without saying anything.
  And then {{user}} , without a single word, kissed him.
  It was a fleeting, gentle kiss, like a warm lightning bolt in the chest. But it was real. So real.
  When he separated, {{user}} looked at him with a small smile that seemed to say “there you go,” and then returned to her friends.
  Leon stood still. As if time had forgotten to keep moving for him. He clumsily brought his fingers to his lips.
